Absolutely yes! The Accra office loves PAs presenting them a late birth certificate so they can call for interview. Not only the interview, they will ask you to present them historical identification such as school certificate, previous passport and more to confirm your identity. I would like to advice you to be careful with what you going to provide them with the late birth certificate cos if you read this thread back few years ago you would see a lot of people got problem with situation like that.Hi everyone.
Are there any issues if the PAs birth certificate was issued late?
Wow. Well my birth certificate was reissued 11 years ago. Would that be considered late? My first birth certificate had a contraction on one of my names. So my mum got it reissued so the full name is spelled out.Absolutely yes! The Accra office loves PAs presenting them a late birth certificate so they can call for interview. 11 years ago is a long time so you won't have any issue and that would not be considered a late birth certificate. A late birth certificate would be something like a new one issue right before you submit your application.Wow. Well my birth certificate was reissued 11 years ago. Would that be considered late? Phew! That's a relief. This process can make someone so paranoid. I keep thinking and thinking...11 years ago is a long time so you won't have any issue and that would not be considered a late birth certificate. You'll be fine Forte. My husband had an old birth certificate but when he had to get a new passport in 2014 they told him he needed a new birth certificate with bio data on it, so he got one but kept the old one too. So in our app he submitted the old one and his new one from 2014.Phew! That's a relief. This process can make someone so paranoid. I keep thinking and thinking...
Thank you everyone for sharing here. I have been following along for a while and it has been so great to get some insight into what might be going on at AVO.Hi Everyone:
question
We know most of the 2016's are getting the PPR now
2017 applicants has anyone reached PPR yet??
and or April 2017 applicants anyone completed medicals and or gotten PPR yet???
the wait is seriously getting annoying with 2017 stream
Bless you. Ours filed Feb 1 so that's very close. Assuming you did medicals up front? (Ours were requested mid-July)Thank you everyone for sharing here. I have been following along for a while and it has been so great to get some insight into what might be going on at AVO.
I am a Canadian sponsoring my husband from Ghana. We submitted our application on January 31st 2017 and received sponsorship approval February 27th 2017. Application was received in Accra (They started processing according to the online Check Your Application Status...) on March 30th 2017. At the end of August I gave birth to our child in Canada with my husband still in Ghana. We haven't heard anything from CIC since the email saying I was approved as a sponsor on February 27th.

@tender u are right about that but what u got from National Population Commission (NPC) is not affidavit of birth. It is Attestation of Birth and it carries more weight than affidavit.Pls dnt panic if you've already sent your application. When I applied I did not no about this forum so I submitted only sworn affidavit of birth certificate from Nigeria population census the cost is about 4k and I did not submit any school certificate with my application not even waec, university certificate or working documents still AVO did not ask me about anything like identity stuff or school certificate. Just chill and pray that's it. Most important thing let them believe your marriage others na gara. Too, we should be careful the way we send cic emails about things we forgot to include. I made too many mistakes on my application but I never wrote cic mail to remind them of anything still I got the ppr. When God's grace is upon your life no man can stop you not even AVO abi na Cic.
