My husband is American (I'm Canadian) - when he had his done earlier this summer, he went to a place which offered electronic fingerprinting and submission to the FBI rather than using the FBI form and doing it himself. We had his results back in 6 days. He found them through Google.
Do you know if it matters if you already have a request in to the FBI? (We mailed it in in July, but now, due to the delay, I am not sure we will have it back before our deadline of Nov 3rd)

Since I don't know if I will receive our results from the FBI before the deadline - does anyone know if you can upload multiple documents on CIC (ie. Right now, upload our evidence that we applied, just in case it doesn't come in time; and then upload the results when they come?)

1. The use of Channeler is only available for US citizens and Green Card holders for the FBI PCC

We are in the same situation! I just called this week and am now kicking myself for not sending it in a week earlier!!!! When you talked to them, did they say the update would cause a complete halt in processing? (Or just slow it down for a bit)

Just slowing it down, as they were opening apps received on July 10. yesterday. And the implementation should be over soon!

I just called in to check. They confirmed that the apps received as of July 10th are being processed now. The new system apparently goes into effect on Monday and there should approximately be a 2 week delay.

Hello all,

I am applying for the IEC 2 year working holiday Visa. (From Ireland) I sent off the application to the FBI On Friday 09/29/2017 and expect it should arrive in VA with express post in the next coming days.

I used a ''Visa Debit' card on the payment form. Will this be an issue? I have run it as ''credit'' at cash registers in American stores before but it is not a credit card. Is there anyway I can contact the FBI and ask them to change the details of payment?

Also this new online eDO option says that is is ''coming soon'' on the FBI website? Is anyone planning on using this in hopes of getting the Police Clearance returned sooner?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi guys forgive me if this is a dumb question but how does the FBI know the fingerprints you submit are actually yours? Seems like a serious flaw in the process to me. Especially since different people can have the same name.

I suppose they check it with the fingerprints you provided during your visa interview and also immigration check when entering US.

Does anyone know what's going on with the FBI certificates? The wait time increased from 10-12 weeks to 12-14 weeks. I guess no EE for me until next year....sigh.

I'm going to call again early this week - Still trying to decide whether to just bail on this completely and go the fast route :)

When you get fingerprinted the person doing them checks two forms of ID and signs stating they are your fingerprints. You also put your DOB, height, weight, etc on the form so I would assume they use that also.
