Ray of Hope - 78th Draw

Me too. In the worst case, it stays in the 450s and I get my ITA once my masters is done and assessed (which adds another 40 points for me)

Ray of Hope - 78th Draw

Waiting on a score of 441. Hopefully the 458 was a fluke and things will go back to normal this week :(

    A few questions...

I had my bachelors evaluated which came out to a 4-year degree equivalent in Canada. My country currently doesn't require a visa to visit Canada but this was 14 years ago, and I was a minor at the time, so I don't even remember. As for the work experience letter, it covers the 3 years and...

    A few questions...

I'm ready to submit my profile for EE and had a few questions to clear up before I do. If anyone has had any experience with these types of scenarios it would be very appreciated if you could share them. 1. My WES evaluation for my master's studies says "Canadian Equivalency:: One and one -...

cheap flights from Toronto to Delhi???

Airfares are sometimes cheaper if you fly out of Buffalo just across the border, or even NYC.

Is that because Deloitte set up shop in Halifax? Looks like they're hiring over there. I really don't want to have to deal with the ridiculous housing market in Vancouver, having just left Melbourne for the same reason

Ray of Hope - 74th Draw

Due for completion October 30th...I'm starting to lose patience with WES right about now. Everything except for the FBI police clearance (my other black hole) is ready.

I wouldn't mind NS as long as I could make a reasonably comfortable living there. Plus I'm a big fan of lobsters haha

Ray of Hope - 74th Draw

Since the quota is the number of arrivals and not PR's issued, I would assume that most of the draws from this point forward would end up counting against next year's quota (issuing a CoPR on December 31st and expecting someone to land that day is unreasonable).

Ray of Hope - 74th Draw

WES finally acknowledged receipt of my documents as of Oct 6th....now the painful wait begins. Hopefully it won't take long since they're US and Australian credentials....

Ray of Hope - 74th Draw

If all goes to plan and WES finally gets its act together (and hurries up and completes my ECA), I suppose there's a good chance I'm looking at Draw # 75-76...the 438 cutoff is awfully close to my score of 441.

The state pays you to live there too!

I'm not American but I grew up there, and I'm in Australia (Melbourne) for school now. And yeah, the job market in Australia is pretty atrocious, especially in knowledge industries.

Ray of Hope - 74th Draw

I'm in Australia, and frankly, it's not really all that it's cracked up to be. I grew up in the US, went to school there, and all of my friends are in the US. Canada puts me much closer to my support network and social sphere. Plus I'm sick and tired of having to fly 12+ hours to get anywhere...

I think Canada's quicker for some people.

I thought the clock stopped when you get your ITA. I could be wrong though.

Ray of Hope - 74th Draw

I'm starting to get nervous now, sitting at an estimated 441 and waiting hopelessly for WES to get its act together. What are the chances that the cutoff will exceed the 440 threshold?

The only ones I can't get quickly are my FBI certificate and WES :(

Ray of Hope - 73rd Draw

I'm looking at a CRS score of 441 (481 when I graduate in December) and my profile is pretty much complete as are the majority of my supporting documents, but being held up by WES :( I'm hoping and praying the cutoff doesn't go up above 441 before I can get my profile submitted.
