As per CIC country of residence is a place where you are legally present at the time of submitting the application. You can forget other tax or legal definitions for residence.

You could call them and ask, but it is very likely that they will ask you to submit the application with India as country as residence. You could do that as well. Once you get PPR, and if you happen to have moved to US at that time, you can simply send an email to CIC asking them change your country of residence to US. They will send you a different set of instructions to submit passports from US. Plenty of people have been in such a scenario and have done that. If you are still happen to be in India during PPR, you can submit your passports in India itself. You could travel once you get back your passport.

Is your employer still US based and do you get paid in USD for these 4 months?
Thanks a lot for this detailed info.
Now I am having confidence to submit my application with India as country of residence. But I have following question related to that:
1) My spouse is in US and he is working there , so his COR will be USA. Hope it is ok if spouse has a different COR?
2) I have mailed my passport/docs to my spouse in US and he applied for Indian PCC on my behalf. Now my Indian PCC is from SFO counselate and the date on the PCC is when I am in India. hope this is fine?

1) I think it should be okay. However I haven't come across anyone doing this. Suggest you to open a new thread.
2) Get one from PSK and avoid unnecessary stress on pondering about this post eAPR. It should be real quick. I believe it is not legal as per Indian law to send passports outside country by post.

Thank you.
Actually I didnt sent my passport to US by post , I had sent it through my friend as a representative and I think it is legal that way.
And SFO consulate issued my PCC which means they are fine with it. Do you still think Canada CIC will have concerns with this?

I appreciate any comments on the questions below:
CEC Inland applicant.
1. We already did the upfront medical on Sept 8, since I received the first ITA on August but had to decline because I had less than 12 Canadian Work Experience. I just realized that there is a glitch that tells you that you have 12 months when you only have 11 months. I will hopefully accept the next accept the Oct ITA. My score is 435. I just realized that I would need a PCC for the U.S. I never stayed more than six months on one visit but my visits there since age 18 amount to well over 6 mths. It takes 2 to 3 months to receive the US PCC. So it looks like I won't be submitting until eAPR until Nov. I know that the medicals are valid for 12 months. Will they have an issue with the fact that the medicals were done before the most recent ITA?

2. My job issued me my one year letter om Sept 21, 2017. It contains my start date Sept 26 2016.. It is the custom to give employees this letter one week in advance so that you have seven days notice if they are firing you. Do you foresee any issues with that?

3. I have had three different roles in my foreign work experience but all with the same company. So I received one letter detailing the various roles. I have 3 work experience holders because of this. Should I just upload the same letter 3 times or upload an LOE for the other 2 holders?

1. Meds have 6-month validity so its alright.

2. I do not see any issues.

3. Since you had 3 different roles, you need to have 3 different Reference Letters detailing all the roles and responsibility you had during your tenure. In my honest opinion , uploading the same Reference Letter in all the 3 holders does not sound like a good idea.

These are purely statements based on my honest opinion. You can confirm with other members as well just to be on the safer end. Good luck.

For Point 3, I have also been issued with a single Reference letter by my employer stating all my roles and responsibilities combined together for different levels/roles. I have stated my current position only in my work history form and I have provided an explanation through LOE that since I have been issued with a single Reference Letter for all the roles (Assistant Manager,Manager...) held with the same Company and these roles and responsibilities fall in the same NOC, to avoid uploading same reference letter three times in the work history place holder I am mentioning my current designation only.

This is what I did, Senior members may further advise on this.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone assist me with this question?

I left Canada on August 5th 2016, as my PGWP expired, however, I got a Police Certificate for Canada on August 5th 2016 also. I then had to re-take my IELTS Exam and went back to Canada (on a visitors visa) on February 3 2017 to write my test and came back on Feb 28 2017, after receiving my results. My question is it possible for my application to be refused as I received my PCC on the day I left Canada (August 5th 2016)? I was told that my PCC is valid for 1 year from receipt which is why I did not re-apply for another in February, or I would have gladly done that as well. Would my visit in February affect my PCC? If so, what steps can I take to ensure my Application is up to standard to avoid any delays or possible rejection?

My Timeline is:
ITA - March 1 with 456 Points
AOR - May 31
Additional Doc Requested (Supplementary Travels) - Aug 7
Med Passed - Aug 7
BG (IP1) - Aug 8

No updates since IP1.

You are not required to submit a Canadian PCC in the first place.

Thanks for the info. I thought that was a requirement as most of my colleagues had to get it. My current country of residence is Guyana since August 5 2016. I thought that the PCC might be an issue as to why my Application is stuck on IP1.

Request for GCMS notes. That will give you an idea where is your application right now :)

I submitted my application yesterday and I have work ex for two companies and both companies I have complete docs in pdf and I had uploaded them but now when I see the list I see docs uploaded are swapped like this

I'm worried wat to do?All my documents are complete and in compliance with cic rule. Will this cause any issue in my application.
