Hi Seniors,

Need your kind help plz. I received my COPR 2 months back, and planning to travel to Canada for my landing in early March next year. I had to declare my single status in EE profile coz I wasn't engaged at the time of applying. My concern is, the COPR says if I dnt declare my marital status before landing in canada, I wont be able to sponsor my spouse ever. How do I declare my updated status? Hope I dnt hv to reapply my application to get the status updated in my COPR . Eagerly looking forward to your advice seniors, thanks

FYI, We are getting married early december this year.

1. You should call IRCC to find more about your situation.
2. When you land, immigration officer will recheck with you, if your situation has change, since you applied (which is true in your case), then they will give you additional form there itself, but as sometimes IRCC make sudden changes, better to call them before hand to be on safe side.

FYI, We are getting married early december this year.

This isn't the correct thread for this question.

My advice would be to land before you get married else it'll complicate things. You'll have to let them know once you get married. Engagements don't really change anything since there are no legal implications, it's when your marital status changes that will complicate things.

Your lawyer must have forwarded you any email received from cic eg: AOR that has application number on it.
