Hello guys! I would really appreciate help/advise regarding my wife's situation:

She is Oct 25th 2016 PR applicant under spousal sponsorship category (outland application). She is currently residing in Canada under post graduate work permit (PGWP) (but not working right now), which is due to expire on Sept 29th 2017. We have only one month left, so in worst case if she doesn't get a decision made on her file till that period, what would be the best option to extend her stay in Canada?

Why did it take so long to receive passport back.......the usual time is 2-3 weeks...isn't it??

Oct 27, 2016th applicant. Finally received my PPR. eCAS has been showing DM for the past 1.5 month. I finally sent them an email asking if I need to wait longer, and they sent me ppr 2 days after in response to that email.

jus an enquiry .acc to ecas processing time.dey are showing 7 dec 2017 as a last date or maximum time for all 2016 applications to be done.how much it is true or it can extend?

It says they will do 80% of applications get done untill the end of this year.
Lets see i pray they finish all 2016 applications first. As its been more then year we are waiting for moveing our file fast and get done. Iam applicant Aug 2016 still waiting for remidecal request and PPR.

What does the E-Cas Status mean between Application Received and In Process in spouse family sponsership

Scenario 1:

E-Cas Status is Application Received and when you click it says,

We received your application for PR on ....

Medical Results have been received

Scenario 2

Ecas Status is IN Process, when you click it says

We received your Application on PR on ..
We started processing your application on ..
Medical Results have been received


So, which scneario are we actually closer to PPR and what does IN Process actually mean? We started processing your application on ... Does this refer to processing your background checks??

My husband is Canadian and I am Indian. I submitted my application on the 14th of February, 2017. Got an email in April 2017 saying my file has been transferred to New Delhi. GC Key said no interview required and background check is in progress and final decision is in progress as well, but I received an email saying my file has been queued for an INTERVIEW.

It has been 5 months that my file is in New Delhi awaiting an interview date. Every time I email new delhi, they send me the same reply, saying my file is in queue for an Interview Date. I'm losing my mind here waiting for some clarity as GC Key says no interview required; background check in progress we will message you when it's started and final decision in progress. Why is the information on my GC Key so different from what the email tells me?

I would really appreciate any thoughts on this as I am terribly stressed out with this whole process and don't understand GC Key anymore.

If they are saying by e-mail you will get interview then believe that.
Because on website they dont update sometimes.
