Well I will have that story to share lol
I still have the email . . . .
Like i said , its a long long road, with many a winding turns
I'm not the religious type. I understand that others are -- so I am respectful of their beliefs. To me, god's been waiting to strike me down for years now -- I'm inventive WRT avoidance ;).

I'll admit, I think they should have picked you up when they were convinced you're from the Afghan police ;). It was a first for me, but they work so quickly sometimes, that simple funny errors like that happen. Responding to them, advising that they are very wrong will usually raise an eyebrow. No apology of course. But you get the chance to laugh :)

Ha ha I wonder why you think you are worst than many!!!!
I don't know the God you make mention, but the one I worship , oh!!! He is all loving, all wonderful, all gentle all powerful and if He wanted to strike you, all the world including Trump , wouldn't be able to stand in His way.
Mercy isn't much of a characteristic found in the ordinary man, but before a Just God???? All can come, ANYTIME!!!

Now, about picking up, am certain there are many who thought the same. . . but as usual. . I tell that same any mountain how big that same God is. Then I leave it.

Yeah!!!!

Depending on how long you have been here before PR, you should be able to apply for citizenship after Aug 8 2019 (my wife is eligible May 5 2019)...

Then you can participate in one of those Citizenship Ceremonies...

This works as how long with status though correct?
Every day before PR is counted as a half day toward the "in Canada" time to a maximum of 365 days. The new (in fall) requirement for "in Canada" time is 1095 days. 1095 - 365 (he his the max) == 730 days remaining (2 years).

Yes, that works with status only I believe.

EDIT: That said, the wording seems ambiguous:
"
Applicants may count each day they were physically present in Canada as a temporary resident or protected person before becoming a permanent resident as a half-day toward meeting the physical presence requirement for citizenship, up to a maximum credit of 365 days.
"

So, I would suspect it's with visitor/worker/student status -- but one could argue...

EDIT #2: We will need to wait until they make their changes to 5(1)(c) of the Citizenship Act:

Fair enough; sounds good then. I would assume with status. Thanks!

Yeah. You still have to apply. You have to have proof that you paid taxes in Canada, etc in order to be accepted.
and you have to free your wallet of a few more hundred dollars (630$) and to begin another 12-months processing time! But that process should be much less emotional for applicants as you are already guaranteed to be allowed to stay in Canada with your PR.

The liberation of oppressed Canadian dollars I think is the most important part of this process.
