how long will the PCC take? you shud have started that process once you submitted .. they do mention this in the checklist, to obtain the PCC but not to submit it with the application ..

don't leave the PCC upload portion blank .. wait .. you have 30 days to upload and send these documents ..

also, what kind of picx are they asking you? passport or wedding, etc?
TO get the appointment itself another week I need to wait.. After that may be a week or two depends on my luck.. Our app came back once that's why didn't apply for PCC until we were sure this time !

And they are asking for passport size pics.. They have not said My pics didn't meet their specification or anything.. They just said need pics.. Upload button is enabled.. For that in mycic

Heyy guys

I linked my spouse application online.

When i went to the bottom I can see your action required and when I clicked on check status & messages then I couldn't find any msg.

When i hit the view submitted application it says no required documents for this online application.

And don't know why it still says action required.

What to do

sorry i dont remember this part, but if you have an upload option to upload pcc and sch a and the picx, then dont leave any of uploads blank. See my instructions below

i would suggest, you wait. you have 30 days to send them these documents. in the mean time, get the picx taken and send them via mail (courier if possible). with that package that you are sending by mail, write a note, saying that you are not entirely sure about how to upload these picx, so just so that you dont mess up the uploadin, you are sending them the picx in the mail. for the documents, let them know that you will be uploading the documents as soon as you receive the PCC, as you are waiting for an appointment and then you are not sure when you will receive these documents.

if on the 29th day, you don't see the pcc coming through, then upload sch a, and write a note for the pcc that you will upload via webform once received. this way they know that you are working on it and that you didnt miss uploading it and sending them an incomplete application again ..

give them proof that you submitted a request for pcc .. attach that to that word document ..

make sure all notes that you do attach are in PDF format .. save the word documents as word ..

if you are confused abt anything i said here, ask me again ..

relax .. it's nothing .. everyone gets thats .. technically, it was just asking you to link the application .. you will get emails from the gckey acct saying that you have a message awaiting .. thats when you will come over to your gckey and check your messages. they will have PDFs attached to the message that will have instructions on what to do ..

make sure the email address attached to your gckey is correct ..

Till yesterday on my GCKey, Status of Background Check was, "We are processing your application. We will contact you when we start your background check"...

Today status is Background Check, "Not Applicable"...

Has anybody got same update in June...???

Plenty of people in previous months have got this updates.. Bucket full discussions over this... But, nobody knows what does that mean... which is okay.. Although just curious to know if I have any partner in this update..? :D

Haven't even received email of file being transferred...!! So this status should change back to in process later... !!
What does your ECAS status say?

In a day or 2, you would receive ur aor containin ur ucl and app numbers. It happened to me too. My spouse got aor and linking email a day and when I was worried, I got mine the next day in addition to a tool where I can check her status update.
You were totally right! I got it last night. This is the second time I got worried prematurely and as soon as I posted my concern on this forum, it was all resolved in a couple of days. Clearly, I need to calm down a bit more and worry less haha. Thank you for reassuring me! :)

Considering you are a June 15 applicant, I would not consider not receiving your Sponsor Approval email odd as of yet. Just wait a bit, based on the shreadsheet you should be getting your SA soon. Just give it a week.
You were right, I was just being a worry wart. SA received last night and updated in the spreadsheet :)

Thank you.. Got most of it..
But my question is :

I have 30 days to upload all 3, but I have schedule A and passport pics ready today itself, can I not upload these two today and upload PCC the day i get it ? Since there is no submit button, just an upload button, I am assuming we can submit each of them as and when we have them ready, please correct me :)

You can upload your Schedule A and passport pics now since you have then ready, and them upload your PCC later once you get it. However, CIC will NOT get your Schedule A and passport pics after you upload them. They will only get it once you submit them. Keep in mind that uploading and submitting are two different things. You can upload these three things separately but you can only make 1 submission for all three together. Since you will only be making the submission once you have your PCC, from CIC's point of view it really doesn't matter when you upload your Schedule A, passport photo, and PCC. The main thing is submitting them all together in one go it before your due date.
