Did you talked with an agent from IRCC to confirm if your security checks are completed? If it's only the medical that remains, you can expect a DM very soon. However, it's harder to predict if your security checks aren't completed.

No I didn`t talk to an agent but considering that I already received AIP a while ago.. I would assume they are done with background checks. ECAS shows 'Application received' and myCIC shows that they are in the process of reviewing.

Actually they don't need background and security check to issue AIP, it comes in the second stage of processing. And security checks are different from simple background checks. I wish they are completed already and you get DM very soon.

When they are satisfied with the proofs submitted that you are in a genuine relationship and living together.

Ok, that makes a lot more sense to me now. Seems like lots of people here on that forum were getting AIP at very different stages of the process. Anyways.. I don`t have any criminal history and I know that results of my medical are fine.. nothing to worry about.. I guess I am just getting tired of waiting.

Not sure where is the cheapest, but I did at Dr. Grunberg in the 4th street SW. It was 225 cad, I believe, but only for exam. I did xray in the Core and blood work in downtown.

That's quite far from where I live, I'm in deep SE part of Calgary. But how much is the xray and bloodwork? Thanks Tyara

I received the medical requests glitch in myCIC, but I knew it was an error as there was no letter with instructions on what to do. When I received my actual medical request there was a letter with instructions and the IMM 1017 in myCIC. So if you received the letter with instructions then you should be good to go get it. It's all pretty quick after that... good luck
Ps I'd already landed and ecas still said 'application received', it updated to 'decision made' the next day [/QUOTE
