Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Thanks for answering senyor Kapatid I have complete docs na po from IELTS acad (8), Scotiabank GIC account ($Cad 10k), proof of funds, acceptance into a DLI, business permits/docs since business started, PSA/police/nbi docs/ form 137 of kids (3 kids eldest 10)/SOP(mine and wife's)/etc. Concern ko lang is mahirap ba makalusot individuals na dala families vs ung mag-isa lang? Based on experience, what are the statistics/batting averages between individuals applying vs individuals with dependents? Is there a chance that I get accpeted and they get denied?

Hi sir. Pag sds po ba no need to submit bank cert and statement? And ilang days po bago inissue ni scotiabank yung gic after ng wire transfer po ninyo?

Di po kayo makaka relate if apply pa lang kayo Konti lang po kami doon, and it's moderated by yours truly, tipsy, floje, erwinjohn, scorpio, humdrumdm, etc. For applicants, this thread is still the best place to get all the information you need.

Hi!! I also submitted via paper application. Actually, I think its a good thing you've not heard from them yet. They do not actually provide updates based on my experience unless they need additional documents. In my case I only linked my paper application after 4 weeks from submission to Manila VFS, that's how I learned my upfront medical was processed and I've already passed the medical exam. Then on the 5th week they emailed to ask for additional information and documents that was last June 30 then earlier today they informed me of the approval.

Hi! Since you applied paper and linked your application online, did they request for additional docs thru your online account or thru your email? And how did you send the additonal docs? Thank you

Pa help naman po maliwanagan po sa mga details regarding sa student visa application po. Nag proprocess po ako under ng isang agency po dito sa pinas. Pinapakuha nila ako ng police clearance sa US since nag intern daw ako dun at nag stay ng 1 taon. Inask ko sila if ung FBI clearance certificate ba yun, sabi nila hindi. police clearance lang daw ng state kung saan ako tumira. Nagbasa ako sa mga website, dito sa thread at sa ibang link pa na may kinalaman sa student application to Canada. puro nakalagay eh FBI clearance certificate ang hinahanap. kaya naguguluhan po ako. co-op program po ang inaapplyan ko sa Canada po.
At, kung sakali po na FBI clearance certificate po ang need baka pwede naman po magpatulong sa mga documents na kailangan at sa mga ilalagay sa form. Sana po may makatulong po sa akin at maraming salamat po.

No. Reason is, you are already in Canada to qualify for PGWP. When you enter Canada you must have submitted a medical exam. While in Canada you are not inadmissible due to health concerns. So no use in getting a medical exam for PGWP.

I'm not 100% sure pero try to submit it without the US police clearance and if they did request it then send the letter to FBI asking for clearance. Because they might not ask for it.

Hi mic-mic, while I do my back reading, medyo marami na ako nabasa sa post mo. Nakaka inspire story mo, pedeng pang "Malala mo Kaya" hehe... God bless your PR application. Sure,ibibigay sayo iyan ng Maykapal. Sa mga info na naibahagi mo, although I'm newbie I'm sure nakatulong na iyun sa maraming na approbahan ng study permit and mga mag apply pa. Pra sa OFW prang mahirap I establish Home Ties...prang hahanapan ka ng butas ng VO.

Anyway, salamat uli sa mga seniors dito nagshahare din.
Minsan, it is not the issue for newbie to do back reading.
It's not being balat sibuyas...
It's normal in the beginning you will be overwhelm of the requirements to gather docs and info that would be needed. Case to case din.
I don't know of anyone who complete their docs and requirements in one day.
Tsaka masdaling magtanong..hehehe...just to remove your doubts and confusion..
It's better if we could be more friendly and just like mic-mic say "smile",,

No need na po sa medical. Very straight forward po ang process compared sa Study permit. Goodluck!

Koriyume, local or state police clearances are only applicable for US pr or citizens po yata kasi may mga apostile services pa po sila. If nag stay po kayo ng more than 6 months, cumulative, for the past 5 years (past 10 years if applying for PR), kelangan po ninyo is FBI clearance. Punta lang po kayo sa website ng FBI and follow ng instructions and download the form for finger printing. Ask a professional para sa finger priting po para hindi ma reject yung prints ninyo. It is very simple and mapapagastos lang po kayo sa fedex para mapabilis ng konti. Processing time takes about 2-3 months. Cost for the clearance is around 20 USD

Romansky, maraming salamat! I did my own back reading nung ako nagsisimula. Pansin ko lang po ngayon, mas maigsi ang patience ng mga applicants and compared before, mas mataas din po ang rate ng mga na-de-deny. Di lang po ako sure bakit. Baka po mas mahigpit na ngayon? Pero pansin ko, madami ay dahil sa NFA (not following instructions). For example, may mga sumasali po sa FB na nag-aapply pa lang... ganito na po ba katigas ang ulo natin?

Filipino day po dito last Saturday and Sunday! Kaso, sa 6 dollars na halo-halo, crushed ice at gatas lang yata ang laman
