Hi, we sent our package on 10th June and they received it on 13th and signed by someone (can't figure out the name from signature) but still no email or any application number or anything. How long it takes to get the first email?

it will take around 1 month to get any correspondence from CIC after they receive the application.

Hello Everyone, I sent my application though Canada Post Xpresspost services Mailed on June 4th, suppose to reach by June 7. Canada post has no record if the package was delivered and I havent got any update from CIC if they receive it in mail room. I have escalated through Canada post and they are unable to track it saying they sometime get issue from CIC. and it could be delivered.
As I am not sure what should I do. Should I send another package or wait for my luck. When I called the IRCC they mentioned that they are currently process application which are received on May 16th 2017. Any advise ? Thank you !!

From what we can see now, it might take between 3weeks to 1,5month before you receive something.

I did get a tracking number, and they are still unable to trace it or confirm if its been delivered or not.

Just got a delivered notification of our application. It was signed by R HAMHOD.

They have a courier option. People, please go spend a little more and courier via Purolator from their own store/branch. I don't trust Canada post outlets with my important mail. I choose the option to get it mailed by 1030am the next day, and it was delivered by 8:30am instead. By 9pm i received a text from CIC that they have received my package. So please go to Purolator and have some peace of mind.

Hi Sebishh and welcome! You had to register for the text msg and send those specific bar codes along with your application. Now you just have to wait for AOR1. Anyway the text msg doesn't guarantee anything other than the fact that your app in their mailroom.

I have some questions for you:
a) Is there anyone from Quebec? In the checklist, it says there is no need for employment information. Do I still provide one?
I know they will ask me to get a CSQ right after I apply for my spouse.
b) Proof of documents showing that we are married: does each other's name on the passport suffice this?
c) Do you guys think the "conversation" between us is a major determining factor? I am planning to add some screen shots of FB converstaion, some e-mails and probably some log shot of viver conversation. Any tips for this [I have to translate them as per the new rule].

a)I am applying already for the province of Quebec, but I applied with the old application, I didn't need to provide employment information, after I applied the I got the CSQ.

b) I provided my weeding certificate as a proof.
c) to proof our relationship, I did print screen of all our conversation!, Skype calls, pictures of our trips, pictures of me interacting with my husband's family and his friends, and pictures of my husband interacting with my family, I scanned the boarding passes of our different trips we did together. When you put pictures make sure to describe the location, date and the names of the people involved inside the picture.

If your documents are not english or french you must translate it.

Did you get a tracking number from Canada Post? Did you sign up for the text message alert from CIC?

If you did at least one of the two options mentioned above, you should know whether CIC has received your application or not.
