Just got the request for my passport so I scanned it and sent the pics in today. Does anyone know what happens after the passport?
Congratulations!! You are from a visa exempt country right?
Well I can speak in my case which is not visa exempt country so I had to send them the passport with the pictures and they issued the COPR afterwards... So wait for the message about the COPR I received it in the E-cas messages..
Congratulations again!!!
Are many left in the november thread without PPR?

Are the amendments the last few pages of the passport? I'm wanting to make sure I sent in the right photocopies. And yes I'm from the USA, so I only needed copies. What does copr stand for?
If I have made it this far, does it mean they won't be setting up an interview to see if I'm lying about my marriage? And thank you!

still waiting since 18 may 2017 i sent the passport and the pictures and the extra document they ask for and nothing new vo cairo

Why are you worried about the interview? Did they address some issues concerning your case?
Usually a passport request means the end(the best end everyone is waiting for). Basically it means that they did all the searching that they needed and I highly highly doubt someone had to go to an interview after the passport request so do not worry so much about it...
The COPR is basically a piece of paper that you need for your landing procedures...
And by they way about the interview... In my e-cas it shows that the decision is made and that there is no interview required check yours I am sure it states the same

My husband got a request for his passport. Does that mean he got the visa?

Thanks all. And good luck

Reading breifly about COPR in the above posts. What is it exactly and how/when do we get it?

Hey there... Actually they didn't say anything to my husband(the sponsor), but I have the deadline - 05.11.2017 before my meds expire... Since he is outland with me the rule apply to him however we are planning of moving in september to finish everything in our home country (with work and stuff).. I have no desire to land and to have to go all the way back to do some unfinished business so we are landing a little bit later than earlier was planned...

The only bummer is that we found good tickets connection through Toronto, till our final destination ( which is Calgary).. But the landing is done at the first point of entry in Canada... But since we only had 2.50 hours in Toronto (that is not enough)... So no we are looking again for plane tickets...
So much stuff to plan but I mean that is not really a problem!!
Oh OK. At least they give u enough time to prepare yourself and pack. It sucks that u have to buy new tickets. My destination is Toronto....I am the sponsor and I am currently living outland until ky husband gets his visa. Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope I get good news soon!

Maybe someone else here who had to send the passport copy can help you better? Since I had to send my passport to the VO office I am not sure what exactly are the amendment papers...
Can someone else here answer to this question please?

I am so happy that there is some time to plan because it's a lot and would be really really stressful to plan it in a shorter period of time...
I really hope you hear news soon!! And you can also go ahead with the planning for the big trip
And you will have enough time before your children go to school! I really hope so!!
