No, its not impossible. What will happen is if you get the "we are experiencing a high number of calls" it will just hang up on you. It will not put you on hold. You can call 10-15 times in a row and this can happen over and over, which is frustrating. When you do get through there is typically an additional 15-30 min wait before talking to someone. The person you will talk to is a call center agent NOT an immigration officer. The agents have limited information and are often reading from a basic guide that can be found online. They do not always have the most up to date or accurate information so you have to keep these things in mind.

They are able to tell you SOME things...like if there is a note on the file asking for additional info, or if your Sched A has been attach (they were able to tell me when I called) but the won't have access to a lot of other information about your application.

I might call them tomorrow to ask if they accepted the sche. a and pcc we uploaded since we never received confirmation email they accepted them only got email about file transferred to vo .

Did you get the VO email after you had uploaded PCC and Sched A, and what country are you applying from?

I recommend buying Skype credit. I had to wait 40 minutes to get to talk to an agent and then we talked for like 5 minutes, everything cost around $2 for a 45 minute call in total.

If On the generic form which is filled in by the PA you input the sponsors correspondence address because you want all correspondence to go to the sponsor then u need to submit a representative form.
Thanks, I'll check that..

I habe a ques. Plz plz reply if u know:

I received schedule A request May 21st and we submitted it on June 04. Recieved the Medical request as well which we scheduled for June 10. But we haven't received PCC request yet...is it normal? I sent PCC with the application though...but not uploaded by them or any request for it.
Not sure if I need to call them for it?
Thanks in advance :)

Congrats! Did you get email confirmation for document submission. For me I was able to upload through GCKey and status shows " The documents you submitted have been uploaded". Thanks

PCC was not asked because u already submitted upfront.

so curious thing just happened

if you're trying to get CIC on the phone, try using one of the non-permanent residence/sponsorship options like TRV if you're unable to get into the phone que to speak to someone. they may have shorter ques so you can at least get in the wait list to be transferred to an agent

i was in que on the phone and the lady that answered said that I had actually called the que for temporary residence so she transferred me to the correct department that handles sponsorship. though it did include quite a long wait

also just to share a bit of info for those who have already provided the medicals, SchedA, and PCC but are seeing "additional documents needed....check messages" in your CIC but are not as lucky to get on the phone with CIC:

I just got off the phone with CIC to check what those additional documents needed were and they agent confirmed, at least for my application, I can disregard he message and there is no other documents needed and attributed it to a glitch in the system
