Hello All, I have a question or dilemma. I am Canadian sponsoring my spouse outland but he will be in Canada with me for the process on a TRV. I am wondering if I change his address on the application, if his file will remain in Canada and he can do his interview here. Does anyone know about this as an option?
If an interview is requested, he will have to go to his local VO for the interview since you applied Outland.

In some cases they accept the package and request for you to resend the photographs if they don't meet the specifications etc. Let's hope that's what they do for you without returning your application.

Hi folks!
Well, yesterday our returned package arrived. It got returned because we somehow didn't include my partner's birth certificate eerg. But the reason I'm posting is to find out what people are doing with the Use of a Representative form. Should I be including that?
Here's one of the notes included in our letter if return:
"A correction to the mailing address specified in the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM0008) to reflect the mailing address of the Principal Applicant; or, if the Principal Applicant wishes to have correspondence mailed to the address specified, a completed and signed Use of a Representative form (IMM5476) is required for the authorization of release of documents and information to the individual residing at this address."
Can any one enlighten me? Thanks!!

If On the generic form which is filled in by the PA you input the sponsors correspondence address because you want all correspondence to go to the sponsor then u need to submit a representative form.

hey guys..

I, the sponsor, received SA email and the applicant received a request for a medical check which is scheduled in couple of weeks.
In the SA letter, a request for schedule A will be requested within 5 days of the letter.
It has been more than five days (a week to be exact) but the sponsor or the applicant received any requests for Schedule A or police certificate.

Is this something i should be concerned about or should i wait for CIC to send us a request?

Thanks for the quick reply.

It has been only a week so i will give it another week to see if they send me a request.
if nothing after week, i will have to call them or something.

Thanks again~

I wouldnt worry too much about calling unless you really have a reason too...so many people are trying to call right now you will probably just end up wasting time
i actually never tried to call the CIC regards my sponsorship.
is it impossible to talk to a person?
how is the call experience like?

No, its not impossible. What will happen is if you get the "we are experiencing a high number of calls" it will just hang up on you. It will not put you on hold. You can call 10-15 times in a row and this can happen over and over, which is frustrating. When you do get through there is typically an additional 15-30 min wait before talking to someone. The person you will talk to is a call center agent NOT an immigration officer. The agents have limited information and are often reading from a basic guide that can be found online. They do not always have the most up to date or accurate information so you have to keep these things in mind.

They are able to tell you SOME things...like if there is a note on the file asking for additional info, or if your Sched A has been attach (they were able to tell me when I called) but the won't have access to a lot of other information about your application.

Let me rephrase

1. In timelines, I saw all 5 violet-colored user records at the top who received AOR2 previously. Then, I saw records all mixed up. Right now, it is perfect. so ignore this one
2. In Summary, I still do not see my ECAS IP day's count as 36. It is not picking the count from timelines sheet.

I hope this clarifies. Thanks for you response, Oulrish :)
Depends on which sheet you look at , if you look at one in my signature you can see my timeline but on other one i do not even exists :). So all in the sheet users are using. It's a mess fyi :).
