These are the notes containing all the information about your visa file. You can get an idea what visa officer thinks about your file and what are his comments or remarks. You can order online and can get after a month.

After submitting your passport and before getting it back, did anyone have a counterfoil document added on their online portal with a travel document number and such? If yes, how many days before the passport was returned did this happen? And does it mean anything other than the obvious which is that they have issued the COPR?

The counterfoil document is updated on gckey when visa has been issued to you. Track your passport on vfs.

Hello members,

I had applied for my wife's spousal sponsorship in November 2016 and this afternoon when I checked the PR application status it had changed from "in process" to "decision made". When I click on the link, it still shows medical results have been received. There is no mention of the the decision. I called my lawyer and he confirmed that he has not received any correspondence. My guess is that the status has recently changed and they have yet to send any correspondence.

Does anyone know what "decision made" would mean in this situation? How long before I hear from them and what is next?

I am also November 14, 2016 applicant and I got decision made on my ECAS as well on 3rd of June, 2017. I am also waiting for PPR.

Hi,
I am in the same boat except that I applied in October. There is not update on E-Case except the decision made but my GC key changed yesterday from " Next step is to conduct Back ground checks" to "We are processing your back ground checks".

Hope they will send us PPR shortly.

Hello - it is my understanding that birth certificate is an absolute must. No other document that you will submit as an "alternate" will be accepted by the Immigration Department.

My husband has the same issue, he doesn't have a birth certificate, and therefore, he will be going back to the city that he's born in and getting a certificate from there.

My two cents on the issue:

1) write a detailed letter explaining the situation and why your wife does not have a birth certificate, and back it up by other documents -- I do believe if you choose to go this route, there are chances, they won't accept your letter because the application clearly states that no other alternative documents will be accepted.

2) going back to her city of birth and getting a new birth certificate made (i am unsure how to do this, but can check to find out).

Both wife and I live in the UK. So what's a way for a relative to obtain this.

so guys..

If u remember, I ordered my GCMS notes in April and got them on May 7 th. I am October 25th applicant and according to the May 7 th notes, they were generated on 10 th April and nothing had started. So for more recent results, I ordered them again on May 10 th and I just got them. These ones have been generated on the 1 st of June AND THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME AS THE LAST NOTES!! NOTHING HAS STARTED ON MY FILE AS OF 1 ST JUNE!! ELIGIBILITY, SECURITY, NOTHING!! These guys are reallyy slow man!

I contacted a MP and was able to get to the bottom of my situation. As it has been several months with no progress I think that is the route for you to go. Entirely possible that - like me - IRCC sent a communication and you didn't get it.

CIC should shut down mycic completely. Its totally useless since we always have to resort to other systems (email, MP inquiry, GCMS notes) to find out the status of our application.
