Thanks for sharing this information. I just found out a decision has been made on my husband's sponsorship of me, but no DM yet on my application. I'm so excited/nervous!!!

We were a special case. We got SA on March 21, and DM at the end of April. We were delayed by 3 weeks because we needed to redo a medical. They landed my wife the next week after DM in ECAS.

That's interesting. How come you had to redo the medical if you don't mind me asking?

In our case, we got SA and AIP within minutes, DM the next day. But we got these a bit more than 19 months after the application date.

We submitted it upfront in March of 2016. It was done in November of 2015. So it was 3 months expired when they were ready to pass their decision...

yes it was a bit long, but there are people having a worse timeline than us. I still see some other 2015 applicants waiting for news.

I got a text from him saying they requested for Schedule A again. I asked him to call me but seems that he's in court at this moment he's gonna call me later. I'm not sure if he was talking about the request from 2 weeks ago or if they sent a new one this week.

I really don't understand what may be wrong if they requested the form to be sent for the second time now. The only reason I may see is because my wife started her post-degree course before finishing her graduation what is allowed in Brazil if it's less than 6 months for your graduation to be completed so in schedule A her graduation finished like 2014-12 but she started her post graduation in 2014-10 so from 2014-10 to 2014-12 she was doing both at the same time.

Do you guys think that may be an issue? Besides that there's nothing else we can think of. Do you think if we call CIC they can tell us EXACTLY what's wrong in the form? Their request is too generic it basically says the form is incomplete.

Whoa! Really? How long is the medical good for? Mine was complete in January of 2016. I hope I don't have to go thru it all again!

My wife didn't get a new passport and our representative didn't say anything about passport. OMG why is it so hard to talk to CIC???

you better renew the passport how long does it take with brasil in Portugal takes 2 weeks for a new passport

Seems like myCic is still not fixed. Still got the same message about the need for additional documents and medical. But there is no message attached below for the instructions of what documents they want from us and still no medical request attached.

1 year. But they can choose to waive or not waive having it redone. Totally at the officer's discretion.

Sorry fabiononetto, I forgot if you are the sponsor or the person being sponsored... The sponsored person must have a valid passport to land, so if your wife is the one being sponsored and her passport is expired, apply to renew it now. Otherwise, it might delay the landing. The sponsor must have photo ID, but not necessarily a passport.

She has a valid passport until 2020
