Hi Guys, this morning I went to Immigration and Citizenship centre in Etobicoke for my landing. It took us 20 mins in total to pay the RPRF and the landing. The officer asked us 3 questions and we re done. After that I got my permanent Sin. no and that was it. After we went to Service Ontario and applied for Ohip which hopefully I should get in 3 months time. From here I would like to Thank all those who answered my questions and guided me. Your help is greatly appreciated. For those still waiting, try to be patient even though its hard but that day will come for you too, and hopefully sooner.

I got asked again and this time they said to do a new one and an original signature alongside my new passport copy but I don't seem to see the issue with my schedule A or a sections 8 to 12 as there are mainly concerned about.

My wife didn't get a new passport and our representative didn't say anything about passport. OMG why is it so hard to talk to CIC???

Tyara you need to let it go to the end until it tell you all the information that is on MyCIC and then it will then say "if you would like to speak to .....press...." if it the lines are not busy then you have to hold on for at least 30 minutes before you get s live person. If it is too busy it will just cut you off and you have to try calling again.

yeah, I already call so many times, always too busy and cut me off I know it is a glitch in a system, but still I would like to have agent confirmation.

MP called and apparently everything is passed; medical,background,sponsor. They have the documents I submitted on file now and the officer is reviewing them. They said they will call them back in 4 weeks.

No she just told me that there was no request for additional documents. She indicated that if there was a request that she would see it on her system.

I still do not know if I 100% believe her since she works at the call center.

She had never even heard that there was a problem with the system. So either she just got to work or she was sleeping on the job.

Before I got through to a live person I did send a CSE to advise them that I had not received any message for additional information and that MyCIC indicated that there was a request for additional documents.

Maybe my MP will figure it out. I hope.

Hi all, I just got a message in MyCIC, and all it said was "Permanent Residence Authorized". Nothing in my email or on ecas. What does this mean?

Also, I was following even the 2017 inland spousal sponsorship forum, and I just read that one of those who applied in the new system (Dec 2016) got their AIP on June 5, 2017. I had an impression that CIC would process applications in the order they receive them or are they picking up at random?

They do applications in order they receive it but not everyone works at the same pace.
All sorts of things can happen.
People work slow
Person who has your file has many other files
They can go on vacation and continue working on your file when they return
Some specific stuff in your application is taking longer than usual to process.

Just a few of possible causes. Ive been using the system since 2011 and have learned alot between now and then. Just took me a long time to find this forum where there is lots of useful information.

If you want to know whats happening with yiu file you can always call them if you reside in Canada.

Sorry fabiononetto, I forgot if you are the sponsor or the person being sponsored... The sponsored person must have a valid passport to land, so if your wife is the one being sponsored and her passport is expired, apply to renew it now. Otherwise, it might delay the landing. The sponsor must have photo ID, but not necessarily a passport.
