Bank made a mistake in my account number!!!!

Hi guys, I got AOR last week. I just checked my documents AGAIN and of course I notice the bank made a mistake in one of the letters for proof of funds. The mistake is they interchanged the placement of 2 digits in the number. Is raising a CSE with an updated document and LoE the only thing I can do? Can my application be rejected despie raising a CSE? Please advise.

Hello, dont get panicked, just raise a CSE explaining that the bank made a mistake. You should be fine, relax.

Thanks for the advice. I wont get an upated bank letter before the end of next week, can you guide me about CSE? Nowhere on the webform page does it say it can be used to ask CIC for a correction to be accepted. Can I use it for that purpose anyway? Also how can I upload a document for CSE? Does the option come on after clicking next on the first page? TIA

A CSE is used for exactly this, giving additional information on your application, including correcting mistakes.

Although no one can answer that with any certainty, I don't think it will be disregarded. Don't worry, just send it asap.

I would think the CSE will be attached to your application before they even look at it. CIC isn't exactly processing applications quickly these days.

That's somewhat reassuring. Out of curiosity, do you think FSW-O will generally be processed within 6 months still despite taking longer or will it go beyond that timeframe?

I personally think it depends on the applicants background and how complex their case is.

Yap, I agree. They say approximately 20% of applications will take more than 6 months to process.
