NEW DELHI (NDVO) - 2016 SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE CANADA

Hi guys!
Till yesterday my status on GCKey was "Your application is in process and next step is to conduct a background check ". However, it has changed to "Not Applicable" today.
Can anyone of you help me out with understanding that what does it mean? Is anyone having the same status?

Background check changed to in process from may 20th and still no updates - sept 09 applicant still waiting. Whats taking so long NDVO ?

Can someone confirm this for me,
When you land at the border,what all do you have to submit?
I called CIC and they don't me only COPR and passport is needed.The application for PR card is already included with the application package so we just need to provide them with an address where the card will be sent.

with copr/visa you will receive a package with guidelines for landing. For address proof you can carry something from ur sponsor/spouse such as phone bill, bank statement copy etc. however the copr contains the address of the sponsor/spouse and u may just have to confirm that to them during landing. Pls verify all details including sponsor's address carefully when u receive copr

We are in common law. I have to be in Canada before 24th June. My husband cant come with me because we working on our dogs travelling document and cargo which might will be not done in 20 days.

Am I allow to travel alone or have to be with sponsor. He will come as soon as dogs can move which will be done within monthI think.

Any document with your address in canada. phone internet bill bank statement license etc.
sponsor has nothing got to do with PA's landing as long as he/she has all the docs

Hello,

We recieved the PPR last week and my husband submitted his passport via the VFS centre. How long does it typically take to recieve the passport back?

Also we had been asked to pay the RPRF back on April 26 and we paid and submitted and email with the proof of payment to the NDVO. We got the reply email stating they had receieved our email. However, 2 days ago I recieved a call from the NDVO asking me if I had paid the fee. I expalined that we payed it the same day we were requested to and submitted the proof already. She then asked me to resubmitted the reciept via email again. Has this happened to anyone?

Just wondering Where did u submit your passport? Because my husband Also lives in another country. We might be in similar situation when they ask to submit the passport.

I am myself struggling a bit here. I ahve not submitted my passport yet. I have sent a mail to the visa officer stating that i dont live in India and it was clearly mentioned in my appication. I am currently waiting for the reply and will submit my passport then. WIll keep you posted. thanks.

I have an old passport with my father's name. I had applied under family sponsorship as my husband is there. Now i have updated passport with my husband's name on it. How can I update tgat to cic??
