Hellos Guys,
I got my passport Request in my mail TODAY from Mexico VO!!!!
I got a set of instructions to send my passport and 2 pictures plus the letter I received with in the next 30 days to Miguel in Mexico City.
My ECAS change to DM, BC not applicable and interview PASSED, although we haven't got any
So since the day we applied to PPR has been almost 5 months! No bad for Mexico VO
Hope all of you hear from Miguel soon. Thanks for your support and advice
Gracias Totales

Congrats!!!!
I haven't hear anything from Miguel in 3 months, I sent the "Carta de no antecedentes Registrales" on March 9th and didnt get a receipt confirmation :(

We finally got PPT request! Common-law spouse from Mexico, applied outland on July 30, 2017, while out of status in Canada.

In the email they didn't ask for pictures to be sent. They did ask for a single package with copy of the letter, photocopy of the passport and a prepaid airway bill.
It is not clear if all of these can be submitted electronically through mycic or email.

Has anyone sent PPR requirements electronically?

Congrats Methyl! I was curious why some send their passports for ppr and some a photocopy of the passport. Do you know why?

Thanks!
Passport is usually requested if the applicant is from a non-visa exempt country.

Passport pre paid airway bill
I sent my passport last week , it arrived yesterday to Miguel Cervantes Saavedra in Mexico city
My question is about the pre paid airway bill. I used DHL, but they didnt allow me to pay in advance
DHL just charged me half of it, they say I will pay the other half, when I pick up my passport
i hipe they did it right, anyway I sent the VO in mexico a scanned copy or the airway bill
Is it correct?

Wow! I was gone for a couple weeks and I sure missed a lot! I still can't figure out the new look. Hopefully soon.

We got an email today from Mexico. But it was just generic with all info at top. And then saying about wait times, what to do if interview is requested and what to do if anything else is requested.
Sooo weird there was nothing specific on it. So they started processing our app March 28 and May 18 we are still only getting generic stuff ughhhh lol

At least you are getting some type of communication from them! what did it say about waiting times?

I am so disappointed my application is stuck in the VO, I got an email from my local MP with the following info:

· The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Ontario, on October 14, 2016.

· The initial assessment to ensure your constituent meets the eligibility criteria and that the application is complete was finalized on November 8, 2016.

· The responsible office have not started reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s spouse meet the eligibility requirements.

o the assessment for the spouse have not been initiated at the Canadian visa office in Mexico City, Mexico.

· The medical examination results are on file and valid until August 14, 2017 for your constituent’s spouse and dependent child.

· The criminality verifications have not yet been initiated.

· The security verifications have not yet been initiated.

· As per our current processing times, it may take up to 17 months to finalize the application. However, processing times indicated on our website are approximate, and can vary with each individual case.

Really VO? after all this time have not started reviewing the application???

I am so sorry your application has been in the limb. Can't your MP do something about it?

Question how does one apply to get notes?
I would like to help you but when I requested mine i did it the wrong way , 2 weeks after I apply for the notes I got an email saying they could not continue with my application because my spouse is not a Canadian citizen nor a PR so in order for them to send the note I had to send the $5 payment. Now I have to wait another 30 days!:(

This is weird, did you request information from them or did you send documents like an update for your app?

Sorry to hear that! I found the link. I'll still wait. They are giving my husband a contact person in Mexico about his file. He's doing the planning to Canada seminars. And they were surprised he didn't receive COPR since being approved at interview end of feb. Let's see!

I wasn't really sure what is a scanned copy of the airway bill. Airway seems to be the fancy name for prepaid shipping label. Why does it need to be scanned unless it's being sent electronically? Not clear at all.
I chose to open a fedex account online. That way I can easily generate my own prepaid labels, and if the cost is higher than quoted they will just charge the correct amount to credit card on the account. Plus there is supposed to be a 30% discount for 6 months when you open a new account, so hopefully the cost will be just $40 or so.
I just generated a single label from Mexico to Canada and emailed the PDF of it to the embassy, along with a PDF of the passport. Hopefully they don't sleep on it for 3 weeks before telling my partner that she needs to send them a physical prepaid envelope.
