Hi I applied for my wife through the consulate in Mexico City. She is living in Peru, CIC received my application on Dec. 02 , 2019. We went through biometrics, police check from Peru, just waiting for medical exam I guess.
Does anybody know if she needs to have an interview, and if so, how is gonna be? Does she have to travel to Mexico for that? Or they can schedule interview in Lima , or hopefully doesn't need interview?

I am also curious of why her application was sent to embassy in Mexico City, if she is living in Peru ? Anybody aware of cases like this ?

My wife is also from Peru and the application was sent to Mexico City it's normal. She didn't need an interview so I can't answer that answer, but when they requested the password she went to the VAC (Visa application center) in Lima.

When they request an interview, you can request that your application be transferred to another embassy, they will notify.
