Hi - I have received passport request (PPR) for PR Visa stamping.
My understanding - after I get my passport stamped with PR Visa, I have to land in Canada with in 1 year of my medicals. Is it mandatory and can it be extended with a fees or appeal?
If no, minimum how long I have to stay during this visit with in 1 year. I believe this is required to get the 'PR Status' at the entry port of Canada. Can I fly to Canada, get my passport and PR visa validated and return (say in a week or two) so that I can come back later with in next 5 years to stay in Canada a minimum of 2 years as stipulated in CIC guideline.
In next 1 year, even if I can go to Canada for a short visit (couple of weeks), I can not stay for 2 years to keep my PR valid. Please get me a proper solution as I want to retain my PR status but can relocate only after couple of years of time line.
