Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hmmm, I somehow managed to lock myself out of my other account (JainaFel) :

Anyways, got my refusal last week - still due to lack of establishment etc. I got their reply almost 40 days after the embassy got my docs. But DON'T LOSE HOPE you guys, mine was a long shot anyway since my immediate family is already in Canada. I guess even my business isn't enough to be considered established here. Oh well.

Just a few tips I learned from experience:
- Paper-based application is faster.
- Use the PIASI call center to arrange your courier. I didn't and it took more than a month to even get confirmation that they got my docs.
- For those who got refused, get CAIPS/ GCMS notes if you plan to reapply so you'll know the specifics about your refusal.
- Get a reasonably-priced consultant if you want, but don't rely on them entirely, also do your research.

I've already gotten previous TRV refusal, so I'm not reapplying anytime soon, I'm looking at studying in another country instead. Good luck and God bless.

Ask ko lng nga pla regarding medical wat tests pla did you guys take? what tests did they required??

taga san kaba?? kung taga luzon ka pwede ka sa IOM (makati), Nationwide (baguio) at St.luke's ermita.. ang natatandaan ko.. una Xray para sa tb yata to, then ung sa lab blood and urine ( dito na din kukunin ung sa HIV at syphilis) pati na hepa.. last ung physical exam... St.Lukes alam ko mabilis...

I really felt lonely upon knowing you got refusal. We've been buddies here in the forum.

thanks ha.. oo plan ko tlga mgapply ulit.. so gno k n ktgal na asst. teacher ngun? mbuti nkpgshift k kagad ng career.. tama ka, malyo nga yung work ko ngun sa plano kong aralin sa canada, so naisip ko na may point ka.. mghhnp n din ako ng pwde ko pasukan as asst. teacher.. any ideas? may mga tumatanggap b khit na hind educ ang background ko..

Bago pa lang ako wala pang 3 months. plano ko mag-apply sa May intake. wala ako sa Pinas kaya hindi ko masagot tanong mo kasi nasa Middle East ako. Nung nag-apply ako as assistant teacher, pinakita ko lang na mahilig talaga ako sa kids like nag-vovolunteer ako sa province to read stories during summer vacation mga ganun ba. saka binanggit ko na plano ko mag-aral para magka-license to teach kids talaga ayon naswertehan naman at natanggap. sakripisyo lang talaga kasi ang liit ng sweldo kaya dasal lang na sana worth naman ang ginawa ko. Kelan ka mag-aapply ulit?

mag apply po wife ko ng student visa pero medyo nalilito kami in what school date to choose, though may option sya for this Sept at Jan 2014. Kung mag sept sya aabot pa ba ang application nya or might as well play safe kami and go with Jan 2014? thanks

Hi Ails! Visa applications are processed based on your personal merits. If your sister-in-law is your sponsor or source of funding then documents stating her financial status is required, otherwise, she will be of no use as far as your overall qualifications are concerned.

Yay!! Good news guys , i finally got a medical examination request. ) It was sent via mail (air21) .. I was scared at first when i found out that the courier guy was outside our house ksi parang medyo mbilis ng konti ung response ng CEM . When the mail was handed to me, it was in a small pack . I was praying for a positive response . Nung una takot pa kong buksan eee . Pero enopen ko nrin . nung mabasa ko nagtatalon na ko sa tuwa, hahahaha super happy.. Thank you lord nasa second step na ko .

I will take the exam this coming friday. Excited na ko . I hope everything turns out well..
Sana umabot pa ako sa fall term .. Yay!!
