Immigration and citizenship status

* Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?
Hi Guys, I need help with answering the Above Question.
i am indian Citizen from birth and answered above as yes with my date of birth to not applicable as expiry.
but the question I have is, I do have US b1/b2 visa and I had Dubai Tourism visa. Do I had to enter both of these as well? Please help me with this. I am filling out an online Application. Thank you.
No. Immigration status as in immigrant or permanent visa types like permanent residence, study visa, asylum/refugee status, work visa, etc. Visitor visas are considered non immigrant visas.
I hope this helps.

Okay, thank you. I got confused since in the selection area they show visitor status as well. But a visitor is a non-immigrant Status. thank you for your reply.

I did not list any of my visitor visas. If I had done that, I'd have quite a few. The travel/time spent out of Canada section is where you can list your trips and if you put vacation as a reason, the fact that you had visitor status is implied.

BG yes as of Feb 12 on the tracker, but none of the LPP. But according to my file, my criminality was cleared Feb 6 from CSIS, which is a week before RCMP cleared my background LOL
And IRCC checked with my USA undergrad university and my Canadian grad university...And IRCC has verified with CRA that I have filed taxes all 5 years... And they got all my entry/exit from CBSA...including verifying a day trip to Buffalo because apparently day trips aren't automatically captured by the CBSA tool...so a CBSA officer had to do a manual search.
I'm telling you, pulling up your notes provides incredible insight. So basically all my LPP has info gathered, just need an officer to make final grant decision it says. I'm assuming marking the LPP completed would be part of that decision making.
Anyway, I don't want to talk about it too much. It will keep iritating me
Just curious why would IRCC check with your university? Is it a part of background check or prohibitions?

How to request for detailed notes like you have got? Is it via AITP? If Yes, what option to select within AITP?

Language Requirement. I'm American and submitted my bachelor's degree transcript as proof of English from a US university. I also included my masters degree transcript from a Canadian university. They noted that rhey verified transcripts with the schools.
And they verified my FBI certificate results with the FBI. I had to get that because I also spent time in the US in the past 5 years.
Moral is that they will verify everything as they should because granting citizenship is no joke. I was just surprised they were able to do all that in 2 months (my Aor is Jan 6 and last major update on my file was March 7). I'm actually a bit impressed

Ok thanks for the clarification now it makes sense or else I was thinking they didn't ask for my education qualifications in my application or have I missed anything lol.

Yes ATIP and I made 4 separate requests under each government agency: RCMP, CSIS, IRCC and CBSA.
Look at my previous post to see the language I used to make the request. I used the same language for all 4 requests.

That is upsetting. I’m willing to bet that my application is in a very similar situation to yours.
Some people say that requesting your case notes requires that your officer stops working on your case. Do you think that could have slowed down your application?
I am in similar situation as yours. There has been no update on my application since March 4th (update on Test). I have literally no updates other than Test completed.. everything in progress. I sent queries through web form, no specifics given. Ircc customer care is not getting connected since last 1 week.
How did you get all these status checked?

It's the regular ATIP site... just Google that.
However, the key is in what you request and how you word your request. You must be very specific.

I said this:
"I'm requesting all information regarding my Canadian citizenship grant request for application #c... and UCI # ..... Please provided all information pertaining to this specific application including all GCMS notes. Thank you."

Each agency will give you the GCMS notes but also their specific information regarding your citizenship application only. For example, for CBSA, although the IRCC GCMS notes indicated they received all entry/exit data from CBSA and that was complete and ready for review, the CBSA also provided their system info regarding my application and I have every single exit and entry detail info during my eligibility period. It's pretty cool seeing them track my movements in and out of Canada. I could even see which documents I used, like my US passport for some trips and my PR card on others.
So remember to be specific when you ask the government for your info. Also, all sensitive data will be redacted...meaning not shared with you.
How much time did it take for them to provide you GCMS notes?

It’s mostly “educated” speculation but the phone Center agent did tell me last Thursday that my LPP hasn’t even started. After reading @moman21’s post, I got a strong feeling that my application is in a similar situation to his because I know that my application should be very easy to gather information on. I went to school in Canada, been living here since I was a minor etc. so I’m just speculating any delays wouldn’t be because they can’t verify my documents, but because like @moman21, my application is collecting dust just waiting for an officer to spend 20 mins reading and verifying my documents gathered by CSIS, CBSA etc.
