you can raise a webform to correct it if you want but don't ever withdrawHi all,
Quick questions for some experienced seniors. I have applied for sposusal sponsorship for my wife on Feb 28, 2024, have received AOR and Biometric request, Biometrics are done and updated. Haven't heard back anything after that, I understand it is still early to make a comment.
I was just reviewing the application docs and have found following minor errors
- Form 008 mentions place of birth as Risalpur which is a city whereas birth certificate and passport mentions place of birth as Nowshera which is the district
- spousal sponsorship main form the box to choose application outside Qubec or in Qubec is unchecked
- Sponsorship email address missing on main sposusal form
Questions:
Would these errors cause any delays ?
Should we submit webform address thise errors before hand ?
Should we withdraw application correct the errors and re submit ?
Wait for IRCC to bring those up and submit a response then ?
Thanks
Thank you, won't withdrawyou can raise a webform to correct it if you want but don't ever withdraw![]()
Most people can do it themselves with no assistance. Legal help should only be needed in complex situations (very much non standard). You haven't indicated anything here that sounds complicated. How crucial is to hire a consultant/lawyer for a spousal sponsorship? I want to submit the spousal sponsorship myself but I keep hearing that is better to use the help of a professional. Outland sponsorship is applicable for my story because my husband lives in a different Canadian province on a close-work permit.
No-one can tell you for sure, but sounds like you have the main things. I don't understand why your wife's driving license is relevant. (Nor yours, actually - and I wouldn't necessarily bring that up as in some cases you're not supposed to retain a drivers' license abroad - not that IRCC's actually in the business of policing that, although some may comment). Also note: your health card may no longer be valid and if not, including it not very relevant - validity here not from the date on the card but provincial health rules about how long you can be out of country.Hi all,
I am in the process of submitting spousal PR application for my wife under family class. I am a Canadian citizen moved out of the country last year. Now we want to move back to Canada once she gets her PR.
For the intent to return to Canada part, I am planning to provide the following proofs :
- Letter from myself stating our detailed plan such as where we’ll live, what we’ll do, why we want to move back to Canada.
- Support Letter from my friend mentioning he is aware of our return and we can temporarily stay at his place rent free until we find our own accommodation
- We sent a parcel ( via courier) to Canada from our home country last week weighing 15kgs. I will attached the proof of delivery along with the picture of the package.
- Job search screenshots. Also I got an interview for a job, so screenshot of the message as well from the recruiter.
- My and wife’s valid driving license
- My and wife’s bank statements in Canada
- Our active Canadian debit/credit cards
- Our last 3 years Notice of assessments
- My valid health insurance card
- I will transfer all my savings of about $30k cad to my Canadian bank account, so the proof of that as well.
Can someone please confirm the above proof can be enough as intent to return??
Also, I am unemployed currently at my home country so for the proof of funds I will show my savings of about $30k cad will that be enough to proof sufficient funds to support my wife as a sponsor.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Do I understand that your spouse lived in Canada before?
Not really. Probably enough if both of you are likely to work / have history of working.Sorry but can you please also shed some light on the last part of the question regarding showing funds as my savings as I am unemployed at the moment.
Yes we do. Also in my letter, I will explain why we are not working currently as we are just visiting our parents and our game plan regarding finding jobs as soon as we land in Canada. Not really. Probably enough if both of you are likely to work / have history of working.
Then I dont' see a big issue with this.Yes we do. Also in my letter, I will explain why we are not working currently as we are just visiting our parents and our game plan regarding finding jobs as soon as we land in Canada.
And our NOA’s can show our history of working in Canada.
