Hi All, I have a question in online OCI registration application part B. For the question below:
Have you/any member of your family applied for Overseas Citizen of India registration earlier?

As my sister applied for OCI couple of years back and received it, do I need to provide her details? I am not applying my OCI through her. Can I answer no for this question? or do I have to provide her details? I was under the impression this question was more meant for immediate family members, such as spouse, kids, and not the siblings. Please advise, thanks!

This is still the same status. Not yet received in Toronto. BLS says they have no visibility on applications not yet received.
What to do next? Its been more than 2 weeks that it is dispatched from MEA.

If you have her OCI details no harm adding it. If you don't, skip it

BLS website tracker
Application Received Date - Feb 21st
Status Update Changed - Processing at Consulate General Vancouver on March 17th (They processed it after making multiple calls)

You have the option to include your sister's details or leave them out. Either way, it won't impact your application

Hello,
My application received at bls surrey on 11th march. I received a call on 15th that i need to email them one additional document. Which i did in the next 5 mins. Havent received any update after that.
When can i expect them to process it to cgi.

I am assuming your's is also postal application. So call to this BLS number 7786524855. Mostly try calling them in morning hours between 8 to 8:30 AM EST.

And don't select status queue option in the menu. You will not get connected at anytime. Instead select new applications queue and ask them to connect to status queue. Tell them that your not able to connect at any time to the status queue. Once you get connected ask them to follow up with your additional document and ask them to send it to CGI vancouver.

Looks like they take their own sweet time to process postal application. They received my wife application on Feb 21st. And they processed and sent it to CGI vancouver on March 17th. All my docs are good without an issue. Still they took time. They will not do it pro actively. Atleast this is my experience.

Additionally you can also email cccanada@blsinternational.net with the passport number as subject and ask them to verify the additional document and send it to CGI vancouver.

So my question is that the self declaration form only says to remove or surrender the voter id and ration card. Hi i am wondering if you got your OCI. I am having difficult time cancelling my name on ration card and i am think of just declaring i never had one.

Your postal application has been dropped at BLS Postal Hub to be screened for service category and correct documentation for further processing at BLS

Is this normal to receive or not?
i dont understand. I sent them the complete application.

I just wanna ask with in how many days we can get OCI in hand because I checked on bls website still showing counter delivery to bls stamping from last week . Please let me know I want to book ticket in the last week of March
