Yes, I can see in the tracker that Background verification has been completed and its also showing COPR details but no passport request letter has been emailed. Does anyone know what this means? Thanks

Hi

I'm in the same situation as you. Have you received any updates since then?

A Message of Hope and Encouragement

This journey has tested my patience in ways I never imagined. Immigration is not just about submitting documents; it’s about enduring the waiting, the uncertainty, the constant refreshing of portals, and the silent battle between hope and doubt.

Some people get approvals in a matter of months; for others, like me, it takes longer. And that’s okay. Every timeline is different, and God’s timing is always right. It’s easy to feel disheartened when you see others getting through quicker. I’ve felt it too. But comparison is the thief of joy. Their journey is not your journey. What’s meant for you will never pass you by.

To anyone waiting, feeling anxious, or losing hope hold on. Keep faith. This process is challenging, but it does not define your worth or your future. Keep pushing forward, keep believing, and most importantly, trust that everything is aligning perfectly in the background, even when you cannot see it.

Never give up. Never lose hope. Stay positive. Do not let jealousy cloud your heart. Your day will come, and when it does, you will realize that the waiting, the struggles, and even the tears were all part of a story worth telling.

Trust in God, trust in His timing, and never stop believing in yourself.

What you're experiencing is completely normal. For most of us, the background check status on the tracker showed "In Progress" from the moment we submitted our application.

In GCKey, the background check status will change at different stages. It may switch between "Not Applicable" and "We are processing your background check" multiple times. This happens because the background check is done in stages, and as it moves through each step, the status may update accordingly.

For example, when I completed my medical exam and biometrics, my GCKey background check status changed from "Not Applicable" to "We are processing your background check." However, a few days later, it returned to "Not Applicable." This was because completing my medical and biometrics fulfilled one of the requirements for the background check, but other stages were still pending.

Even if it seems like nothing is happening because there are no visible updates, your file is still being processed. It hasn’t been forgotten.

You may not know when it changes unless you check gckey every day at least three times a day. It may have already change and went back. You won't be notified of when it happens and will only notice if you happen to log in and catch it. Background check is one of the main checks that no one can give a true estimate as it's different for everyone
