@scylla Excuse me, Do you have any statistics and database that shows up from credible sources that recently huge numbers of applications got refused agin after positive outcome of JR?As I understand it, JR is not about assessing if your application should have been refused or approved but about whether the officer did a thorough / appropriate job of reviewing the application. So let's say that an application involved best interest of a child. JR will assess if the officer assessed this in their reivew of the file and considered the evidence submitted. JR is not there to re-assess the evidence or to say that a negative decision should have been positive. Just to make sure the officer considered what the applicant provided as part of their decision. Let's say that the officer did not assess all evidence, JR can then call this out and send the application back for review by a different officer. JR is not saying that the result should have been positive. They are saying evidence wasn't considered. When the new officer assesses the application, the end result can still be a refusal. This is my layman understanding.
I filed ALJR for the purpose to get positive results, not to grant extent my time in Canada !Agree that it is often a waste of money. Asylum, refugees and H&C applications and associated programs are costing Canada a fortune. Most now file JR for any immigration rejection where JR it is possible and not for cases that have strong chance of actually getting a positive result or have a good chance of approval if redetermination is granted. Many filing JR have not idea what it actually is but given the volume of applications and wait times it is often used as a way to extend time in Canada.
If the owner/host closed all the doors on your face then “ beggars “ where they should knock the next destination door?it is called compassionate for a reason, we are begging Canadian not that we are entitled for the pr

Anyone can apply for JR. You are misunderstanding the JR process. JR is not meant to determine the strength of your case it is to determine if the case has been properly evaluated and there were not procedural errors.I filed ALJR for the purpose to get positive results, not to grant extent my time in Canada !
My intention is pretty clear to get redetermination, not sure how weak case they are getting positive results since strong grounds are allowed to JR but how come opposite for H&C grounds !!
Sadly for many it will result in people needing to return home move to another country. If the owner/host closed all the doors on your face then “ beggars “ where they should knock the next destination door?
