Dec 2. I didn’t get P1 yet but I think I will get it soon. I spoke to an Agent over the phone and she said everything is passed. So fingers crossed.
The decision I was talking about earlier was for work permit. I was responding to someone asking about work permit they applied in Aug 2024.

I have one question: Is it possible the information in GCMS is different from whatever we ask IRCC by phone?

I mean, for example, if a person in IRCC says that info sharing has not started but maybe you see in GCMS that all this has passed? Whenever I called, they said that all processes had not started. In this regard, I want to take GCMS; if the information from IRCC by phone is the same as GCMS, then there is no need to do that. Does someone know if it is the same or maybe would be different?

Please is there anyone who applied for work permit as a protected person since August 2024 and up until now has not received final decision but all steps has been passed since December 2025

I apply for renewal work permit in January and they it was approved in one week and I received it by mail the next week

Exactly two years ago I submitted my PR online and last update was Feb 2024 receiving eligibility and pre arrival email. WTF IRCC employees are doing?

This is my status:

Review of eligibility

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results

Review of additional documents

• We do not need additional documents.

Interview

• You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics

• We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check

• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision

• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I'm in the same situation all I can hear is they processing background check why it take so long as a protected person to get pr

At least here For protected person , I don't know any case. All we hope that, but time passes and You see reaching and over passing the 24 and now 27 months totally discouraging.
