I am Canadian PR holder. Living with my husband here in Ontario. We both are having good job.
I want to invite my parents and my brother here.
my brother is cerebral palsy (age 21 years). but he don't need any regular treatment.
he is able to speak understand everything, I mean no mental problem,
he is just dependent on my parents for his daily activities.

Can I invite my parents with my brother next year?
How can I invite them, either PR or Super visa or temporary resident or the last option is visitor visa. Will they get visa ??

I just want that they visit us in Canada at least once

1. Regular visitor visa only, no dependents on super visa.
2. You could apply for Parental PR, but if your brother can't pass the medical, then your parents would be refused, as he would be mostly excessive demand.

Hello,

We are on the same boat. I wanted to have my parents visit too with my brother who has special needs. How did u guys do the application? Which type of visa did you apply for your brother and parents?

Hi gmitzienelle,

We didnt apply yet.

Planning this year. let me know your status.

One successful case I found here :

I want you to check out "TRV visa for physically disabled" on Canada Immigration Forum. To view it,
topic=110584.0

Thanks

Hi there,

did you apply your brother's visa? my sibling has same situation and TRV is already refused twice. I don't know how to prove bona fide temporary travel. Please reply if you've applied and your experience.

Hi
I want my parents to visit me in Canada, my brother has cerebral palsy and he is 36 yrs old and he is dependant on my parents financially though he can manage himself not same as normal people. He can just do the basics, what would be the best option to apply for their visa. If I apply for Super visa my brother would not fall in the criteria.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Please guide me!
My elder brother has cerebral palsy since birth and is fully dependent on my parents for his basic daily needs. However, he does not require any medical support, checkups, or medication. My wife and I have been Permanent Residents of Canada since last year, and we wish to apply for a Super Visa for my parents while also applying for a visitor visa for my elder brother so that he can accompany them.
We live in Caledon, ON, Canada with my younger brother, and our combined net income for 2024 is meets the minimum necessary requirement for SuperVisa.
If anyone has any past experience with a similar case, I would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide on how to structure my brother’s application and how you addressed the concerns of IRCC. Please share a reliable Lawyer's contact as well.
I truly hope to bring my parents and brother here, and your insights could make a huge difference in achieving this goal. Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Best regards,

Will be incredibly difficult to get approved and if approved your parents may only be able to visit for a short period of time. Your younger brother being in Canada as well makes the situation even more difficult.

You cannot combine your income with your younger brother the low income cutoff calculation for the super visa application. You can only do that with your wife.

And it’s a red flag . Your sibling is solely dependent on your parents, who you want to apply a Supervisa for , but only a visitor visa for the sibling

The Supervisa is allowed to stay for an extended period , but the visitor visa isn’t .
Who is going to take care of the sibling once he has to return home , if the parents can stay for an extended period ?
And it sounds like you’re attempting to bring everyone over

You have multiple red flags going on here

Yes I know! But Supervisa can only be applied for Parents and grandparents not for siblings. That's why visitor. And I will extend my brother's visitor visa thereafter. But in case he needs to return then anyone from us could join him along for that period and can return later. I know we human have this innate seduction to pessimism and keep thinking negatives first. One thing I know for sure is it is possible and many have already been successful being in same situation. I am just trying to reach those people.

Thanks for reaching out! FYI I am not combining my brothers income for that cutoff. Me and my wife are meeting that necessary income bracket.

People on here have no emotional attachment to your situation. Aka
Not emotionally invested

So they are able to look at it without any emotion, same as a VO . Objectively assess . Visa Officers are trained to assess applications with no emotion. Will this person return home at the time they stated, around about , or will they attempt to stay longer , or possibly try to stay permanently?
Will this person abide by the rules of the visitor visa , or will there be an attempt to abuse it ?
Then take all the information provided , and assess the application.
If they let there emotions get in the way then they aren’t doing there job

The VO assumes that there will possibly be an attempt to have the sibling stay longer, as you indicated

I used to work for the Government dealing with people in situations where they could lose there assets aka homes , seizures etc

Empathetic, always .
But the law is the law

And as shown online the Government is being very strict now when issuing visas

This is not a realistic plan. You are essentially wanting your parents and brother to live in Canada with you. If your brother is able to get a TRV he can visit but will need to return and establish his life in his home country before attempting to visit Canada again. Returning for a few weeks and attempting to visit Canada again and doing this repeatedly could get refused entry at a certain point. As an aside a supervisa also doesn’t allow your parents to move to Canada it is just a longterm visit and they will be expected to return home when they can no longer extend their visit or can no longer secure supervisa insurance if they are on a supervisa
