Not sure if this is the right thread to post my question. I am Canadian citizen and my husband is in India. I have filed for my husband's spousal sponsorship which is in process. In the meantime he also got his visitor visa which is valid upto 10 years. My questions are as follows:
1) If my husband comes to Canada as a visitor and he gets the passport request for his PR file, can he do the virtual landing from Canada or he will have to go back to India to complete the process and then land as as a PR?
2) While my husband is still in India and he gets the passport request for his PR file let's say just a day prior to his flight to Canada, can he still come to Canada as a visitor and do virtual landing from here? Or he will have to postpone his flight, submit his passport for PR from India and then land as PR?
Please help. Thanks.

Hi - what made you decide to do the outland living in Canada? Where is the portal for this? I've started my inland but someone is advising outland living in Canada. Didnt realise this can be done.Applied: February 8, 2025
