Citizenship App Prevents BOWP Entry

I received BOWP from PR app while my original Work Permit was still valid. Then I became a PR soon after.

The citizenship app asks if I applied to extend my work permit - and if so, the date my work permit status was extended to.

No matter how I enter the information, I get these errors:

(1) When entering the BOWP expiry date - “This date must be before the date you became a permanent resident”

(2) When entering the date I became PR or one day before - “Date must be after your status expired.”

Therefore, I am forced to incorrectly answer “No” to the question asking whether I applied to extend my status.

it appears that no one who receives both BOWP and PR during the validity of their original work permit is able to correctly answer this question.

Has anyone else faced this?

You haven't shared the dates but as soon as you get your PR all other things are no longer valid.

I agree it does not affect the physical presence calculation whatsoever - but I want to correctly answer the questions

Application form asks:

(1) whether you applied to extend your status - Yes

(2) whether or not the extension was refused - No

(3) date status extended to - won’t accept any answers

So your WP did not expire and you got BOWP before that and also got PR. With this you cannot add BOWP in the online application with all the validation. You can just explain this in a Letter of explanation and attach it to your application.
