I got my pre-arrival letter 2 weeks ago. I submitted my application last January. Guys please tell whether this letter is a good sign and means my application undergone the final stage?

Pre-arrival letters are sent out to everyone who has passed the eligibility portion of the application process. Your background check still needs to be done. This includes document and information verification as well as medical exam review

No, they cannot return it solely based on the PNP expiry. Your lock-in date is the submission date of your application. As long as the PNP was valid on that date, you are in good standing. Don't worry!

@Miss bee

hope you are doing well.

I have a work permit support letter for PNP and it expires on March 3 2025. I am planning to put an application for Work permit extension just for safety. My current permit expires with my passport in May 2026. Will I need a new passport to get additional 2 years of work permit extension when applying extension with PNP WP letter letter ?

thank you for your help
Yes you need atleast 2 years valid passport otherwise they might issue you new work permit according to your old passport.

Not exactly right, his medical is already passed. Mostly likely his background check was already ran and some parts were completed or ready for assessment. He is very close to getting FD.

As long as you attached a letter of explanation for non availability of Birth Certificate, provided an equivalent document and maybe an affidavit, you should be fine.

I hope you get your AOR soon so there's some relief for you in this long journey.

Yes, there is a high chance that IRCC may return the application if the required birth certificate is missing or if the submitted documents are not translated. IRCC usually requires either:
1. A birth certificate (preferred)
2. An acceptable alternative such as a government-issued document that confirms the applicants birth details (with a certified translation if not in English or French)
3. An affidavit (if no official birth certificate is available)
Since your agent submitted study documents without translation, IRCC may not accept them as a substitute. If you receive a request for additional documents, you should submit a translated version or a proper alternative as soon as possible. If the application is returned, you will need to resubmit it with the correct documents.

Hi there. I submitted my application in July 2024. Received AOR Dec 23, 2024. I noticed people who submitted at same time as me has been receiving Medical requests and I didn’t? I did have a recent medical exam did they just accepted that under the new policy?

Hi Everyone,

  1. For the ADRs, do we get an email from the IRCC that the issue has been fixed? Or do I just have to hope that the sent documents are enough to fix the problem? I only got an email saying the documents are added to the application.
  2. After AOR, When can we expect to get information on how to get our Medicals?
Thanks.
