Hi
I have CoPR and ESTA (non visa).
Two questions, if anyone can help.
1 Can I visit Canada for a few days but not 'land' (daughter's uni graduation ceremony)?
2 Can I arrive and formally 'land' on my own even though my application was outland spousal sponsorship? Or must we both arrive together? Wife intends to relocate to Canada but has commitments in her current job that will keep her overseas for a few months.
Presuming you mean ETA...

1. Yes, although why bother.
2. Generally yes, in that they don't seem to ask / understanding. At least I've never heard of problems. YMMV.

Has anyone on COPR transited via France ? Is there any requirement for a return ticket.
Check with your airline. This type of thing depends most of all on what passport one holds and the carrier (airline).

But generally a reputable airline should know that the IM-1 type visa in the passport means no return flight needed. And generally France lets most passport holders transit as long as they don't need to leave the international zone to do so.

Important note though: this can depend more on what country you depart from (and that airline) more than France/French airports.

What is your current status?
If you haven't been studying, your study permit is invalid. (school needed to report to IRCC)

You cannot apply for OWP after AOR of the sponsorship application if you are out of status.

Then you are out of status. You never studied at the DUI on your current permit. (the expiry date doesn't matter)

Okay so I can’t apply for the spousal sponsorship or I can ?and what do I need to do to get my status?your advice is needed pls
Your spouse can apply to sponsor you but you cannot apply for OWP until much later in the process. (Not after AOR like others with valid status)

If your status expired within 90 days, you could apply to restore your status as visitor.
But it's up to IRCC to approve the restoration or not.
