October 8th 2023 applicant here. Just got my CBSA notes. I must have ordered the wrong thing, because it's essentially the same as the IRCC GCMS (ATIP) notes but with the security screening part not redacted.

Apparently, my file got moved from Montreal to Vancouver. Don't know what to make of that.

I'm October 31st 2023 applicant. I got the same office recent change but from Scarborough. No further updates so far.

Mine is not non-routine. at least according to the latest GCMS notes of Jan 2025 - mine is regular.

How do you know from ATIP notes whether it's non-routine or not?

My AOR Oct 2023! Waiting for the security to be completed. I just realized from my ATIP Notes my file moved to Vancouver as well from Mississauga office.

How do you know from ATIP notes whether it's non-routine or not?

Can be misleading, so DO NOT rely on what I'm saying.
Disclaimer: A brief search through the forum shows that there is no any certain methods how you can understand if your application is routine or non-routine from GCMS notes.

Hi Ahafiz,
I'm in the exact same situation. It shows updated Jan 28, 2025. With 6 new updates all dated back in Feb 2024. I'm still waiting for BG and prohibition (both are In progress). Citizenship oath : not started.
Please keep me posted about your application. I'm Nov 2023 applicant.

The last date it was showing was back in July 2024. I'm just waiting on my security check and prohibitions.

Update on Feb 13: I received a request for fingerprints which I got it done on Feb 14. My question is I read that IRCC usually sends the fingerprint request letter a month after submitting the application. In my case, it's been 16 months. Is there anybody who is in the same situation?

Weird but good in a sense as there is some movement. Normally FP is valid for a year and if your processing doesn't complete within that they ask you to do it again.

August 2023 applicant here.
- By October 2023, I had cleared my citizenship test.
- A whole year went by and didn't have any updates - followed up through the Web form numerous times but no response.
- In November 2024, I contacted my MP and around the same time all of a sudden I got ghost updates showing BG and prohibitions in progress. No update since then.
- Later in December 2024, I contacted the MP again and they said my as per IRCC my file was a "non-routine" file and I just need to wait.
- I contacted IRCC again through Web form and this time - for the first time - I got a response and they said they received my follow up request and rest assured they are working on it. However, no updates on the application.
