Well the GCMS notes I received this morning says otherwise. Not a single note/update since last year. I wish I could be as hopeful as you, but this has been driving my mental health to the ground :D.

The same happened to my friend recently he's been waiting since Sep 2023. It's definitely a good sign! I'm still waiting to see some movement in my application, feels like I've been forgotten , it's been more than a year since my last update, test marked completed early Nov and nothing since.

I have the same timeline: Applied in Sep 2023 AOR in Oct 2023 Took and passed the test in Nov 2023 Crickets since then, not even a single ghost update My primary office was changed so who know what they are doing, I plan to wait till next year then go for Mandamus.

Hopefully and good luck! I've heard so many success stories about Mandamus so I'm sure you'll get your oath soon.

To be honest it seems to be random depending on your nationality. I got my PR in 3 months so I was very confident that I will get my citizenship fast but here I am waiting for my SS. My suggestion is to provide as many supporting documents as you can and hope for the best. Getting stuck in SS is...

Some people are still waiting since April/May but someone recently passed background check after 15 months. Personally if mine doesn't clear after 16 months I'll go for Mandamus.

Still waiting sadly, it's been a year since ss started according to CBSA notes. I'm planning to wait until the next year then start talking to lawyers. @tired_man did you go for Mandamus, any results?

My timeline is more or less similar. Applied on Sep 9th. AOR on Oct 18th. Passed the test early Nov. My last update is from Nov 14 when my test turned green. Nothing since then, everything else is in progress.

No updates from my side, reached out to MP to see if they can do anything to expedite the process. They contacted IRCC and got the generic "It's with a third party so we can't control it" answer. I see people from March and April 2023 getting cleared, so I guess it's slowing down a bit.

I've been ordering them basically every month and my SS is waaay past the deadline, the only thing that has changed is my primary office! For some reason they changed it from Niagara to Montreal!!

Sorry to hear that, I can't imagine having to wait two years for a process that normally takes a few months. I've heard good things about mandamus, I am sure you hear a decision soon.

Hey, I'm also from Iran and have a PhD, been waiting for my BG since last October. I have no idea what their selection criteria is for security check. My work made me apply for a US visa (which I was obviously refused) and I thought that might be the reason, then I saw people with green card...

Nope, I've waiting for BG and LLP since my test turned green in November

It's been 4 months for me! I passed my test in Nov, not a single update since then, my BG is still pending! No idea what's going on!

Hope we don't have to wait a year to pass security. I let you know if I get any updates.

Thanks, this gives me some hope. I've heard if they are satisfied with your answers in your interview they might offer you to take the oath right there. So good luck! My application is being processed in Niagara, I think they are slower than Vancouver.
