Spousal sponsorship breakdown

I was in the process of sponsoring my Jamaican wife who joined me in 2024, and I withdrew the application to day because when she arrived in Canada she started living long periods of time at her “cousin” (months at a time), and only returns to the family home when I receive immigration related paperwork to be completed, the longest I have lived with her is a month. My questions are:

1. Last week I was invited to the portal, informed that I am eligible to sponsor and the application is being forwarded to a visa office for completion, does this mean a decision has already been made and I will be responsible for her financially for the next 3 years?

2. she received a 4 year multiple entry visitor visa, is this going to be cancelled if they suspect that it was a marriage of convenience; in cancellation paperwork to IRCC I have provided a history of of the relationship when she came to canada, provided supporting documents including texts showing that she was only interested in coming to Canada. When I started having 2nd thoughts about the marriage I offered multiple times to purchase a plane ticket for her to return home and she refused.

3. I submitted a visitor visa extension in June 2024, a month before it expired, and had not heard from ircc regarding the extension, a couple of days ago my left again to live with her cousin and I requested refund and cancelled the visitor visa extension application. What does this mean for her status in Canada and can she get it reinstated?

4. with the withdrawal of the application does it mean she has to leave the country immediately or face deportation, and also will her 4 year multiple entry visitor visa be cancelled because of possibility of marriage of convenience and she?

And also can try and claim humanitarian ( spousal abuse) PR? reasons why she was not living with me for long periods of time. 2 months after arriving in canada she is physically assaulted me and was arrested and charged with spousal assault, later dropped to a peace order after I advocated for to return to the family, I have never abused her, there are no police records or complaints about me abusing her.

1. No. It only means you have been approved as a sponsor. Contact IRCC now and withdraw the application.
2. No, it most likely won't be cancelled.
3. She is out of status based on the dates you have provided and it's too late for her to restore her status from within Canada.
4. She will not face deportation at this time and most likely the visitor visa will not be cancelled. However based on the above, she will be out of status in Canada with no way to restore which means she will need to leave.

She can certainly try applying for PR through H&C. However she will need to have strong grounds in order to be approved.

Thank you so much, also forgot to ask, can she attempt to go on social assistance since I committed to supporting her when she arrived a visitor.
