Work was approved on 30dec when i can get physical copy in mail box any idea how long its taking???

Just received my husband’s SOWP in the mail today It was approved on Dec. 31st.

Sorry i try to read the previous posts to understand what’s next but to be honest now I am a little bit lost in the processus. When i look at my tracker (sponsor) and the tracker of my husband (applicant) eligibility is complete for both of us since yesterday but none of us received a notification about that. The only thing he received, is pre-arrival letter today. Does that mean that the AIP and the final decision is comming soon ? The only thing that is still in process is the medical exam (but it’s already done and send to IRCC) and the background check.

Hi. You guys should soon get AIP and SA after the completed eligibility.

Can't say for sure if the final decision would come soon as the background check process usually takes the longest. Mine took 5-6 months alone for the background check.

in my case i didn’t receive AIP but an agent on the phone told me prearrival letter indicate eligibility completed
background check won’t be the same so no one can tell when is the final decision
i’m still waiting for it anyway

Yes, I've seen they are a hit and miss like AOR nowadays.

Hello, for those that received the approval letter for the work permit, did you receive the permit yet ? How long did it take to receive it ? Our letter said it was mailed on January 2nd, but nothing in mail yet. My husband found a job immediately so we are a bit worried since we can't have the SIN yet.

Yes, I did receive it in my mail a few weeks after. Received the Permit from 20th November 2024 and got it in my mail in December 2024.-2nd or 3rd week in December.

Hi, no nothing. His work permit was approved december 30 and still nothing in the mail. We went this morning for his driver liscence and they send us back home because they don’t accept the approvql letter they need the physical one.

You can apply for your driver's licence with your passport as well.
Nothing to do with work permit.

Maybe in another province .. but in Québec you need a proof of status that you are here for more than 6 month. The passport was not enough.
