Complete the formHello,
I submitted application for my parents on Jul 29 and got ADR on Jan 6 to submit Additional family information IMM5406 for principal applicant and all dependents over age 18. At the time of submission, both my parents submitted IMM5406.I want to understand what is missing and should be submitted.
We are two brothers both over age 18 and no one is dependent on our parents. I have my grandmother who lives in India.
Should we both brothers and my grandmother submit IMM5406?
Or just grandmother needs to submit IMM5406?
Or both my parents, grandmother and both brothers need to submit IMM5406?
Will appreciate your reply and thank you in advance.
does it mean only we both brothers need to fill in this IMM5406 form?Complete the form
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
This form must be completed by:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/imm5406.html
- You, as the principal applicant,
- Your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
- Your dependent children aged 18 or over (whether accompanying you to Canada or not).
If one is the principal applicant and other is his dependent , then yes!does it mean only we both brothers need to fill in this IMM5406 form?
Hi Everyone,
I received an ADR (Additional Document Request) in December 2024 for my mother’s PGP (Parents and Grandparents) application. IRCC has requested my father’s death certificate, but unfortunately, I cannot obtain it within a year due to legal procedures in my home country.
I am wondering:
If anyone has faced a similar issue or has any suggestions on how to proceed, I’d greatly appreciate your input.
- Can IRCC grant a 12-month extension to submit the death certificate?
- Would a Letter of Explanation (LOE) along with supporting documents (e.g., affidavits, proof of legal delays, or alternative evidence) suffice in this situation?
Thank you in advance!
Not sure upto IRCC. My parents did medical in March 2023 and event went to the home country. IRCC still considered those medical as valid. My parents did their medical in 2022 for Supervisa. Does IRCC consider those? I did not submit that medical for their PR application. Thank you.
Since he passed away in Canada, shouldn't the official death certificate was from the province instead?Mine is not the same situation, but my dad passed away in Canada and I got the certificate (proof of death and proof of cremation) from the Crematorium here in Canada. It takes more than 3 months for the official death certificate from Municipality and IRCC considered those ones from the Crematorium. See if you can get something similar.
The one from the Province/Municipality takes about 3 months, thats a standard here even though its shocking but thats a reality. So to mitigate this condition, Crematoriums can issue some documents which can be used for banking, immigration and other purposesSince he passed away in Canada, shouldn't the official death certificate was from the province instead?
No. Your brothers are NOT part of the application.does it mean only we both brothers need to fill in this IMM5406 form?
me. no job duties. got AOR.Was there anyone that DID NOT list the job duties on the resume but only the job titles and still got AOR? I forgot to do this even after they request ADR for resume sorry for repost but I’m worried
Thanks for the reply.No. Your brothers are NOT part of the application.
Only your parents need to fill in IMM5406. But all children, parents of the PA and spouse needed to be listed IN IMM5406.
Are you sure all of them (including yourself) are listed in your parents IMM 5406 forms.
