It has been extremely slow for AIP applicants, here is my timeline:
Submission date: march 19, 2024
AOR: may 29, 2024, criminality passed
ADR: October 17, 2024 and sent on october 24,
PAL: october 29, 2024 and eligibility passed
Info share passed and Background changed to "not applicable" on november 19, I called IRCC and was told that criminality is being processed (again) and security has not started. I have heard nothing since.
My application has being precessed for almost 10 months now, and it is taking longer than the 8 months shown. And it is not under conprehensive security screening according GCMS notes. It seems AIP is left behind when compared to others streams.
And I still have to wait for FD, P1, P2....

Hi folks,

Just want to share something I learned: PAL is typically a positive sign. I received my PAL along with the MED request, which I’d say is at the early stage of my application. Some posts mentioned that this means nothing or doesn’t have any useful meaning. But I called IRCC and they advised my eligibility has passed. SO even though eligibility shows nothing in the tracker and you receive it pretty soon, it would still be a good sign. Lets stay positive!
Thank you for sharing. I believe we have similar timeline. I submitted on Jun 24, got AOR on Nov 5, received PAL and medical request on Dec 10, passed medical on Jan 4. Now background check is in process. I don't know how long I will receive the final decision and portal 1 and 2.
Do not worry, just wait, the Canadian immigration system is dead.
Did you provide new Biometrics?I believe we have to provide new one for PR application.

Hello @Miss bee , Happy New Year~

I submitted my application on June 25th and received AOR on November 7th, but I haven’t received the Medical Exam Request yet, which also applied to many other applicants in June.I recall doing an Upfront Medical Exam in 2021 due to COVID. More specifically, IRCC didn’t request me to complete a medical exam, but a few friends did when travelling back to Canada, so I did it for safety, which they never reviewed proactively.

When I called the IRCC Help Center, the gentleman mentioned that he could only see the medical exam I completed in 2016, which might be because the 2021 medical exam isn’t attached to any of my Visa Applications, but it's attached to my Passport. I am wondering if I should submit my 2021 Medical Exam Information (eMedical sheet) to IRCC via a Web Form, considering the facts that
  1. I haven’t received the medical exam request, but I might soon.
  2. IRCC Help Center Agent couldn’t see my 2021 medical exam.
  3. It takes about 14 days for IRCC to receive and review a Web Form.

Thank you for your valuable insights in advance, and I genuinely appreciate it.

If you don't have a medical examination result in IRCC system which was submitted within 5 years then you're required to submit a new one, so you can't submit an expired medical result to your new application which wasn't even in IRCC system. I had submitted my medical from 2021 as an inland applicant yet they requested for a new medical examination.

Thank you for your prompt response!

Technically, the medical exam results from 2021 should still be valid because they are within the 5 years.

Would you mind sharing when you submitted the 2021 medical exam and when IRCC requested you to complete another one? I am trying to see if they actually reviewed your old medical exam before requesting a new one.

I had submitted in November 2021 and they have requested a new medical on October 2024 even though I had submitted my IME form with my application. Actually it depends on the officer to give exemption or request new one.
