is ordering GCMS/ATIP note will expedite the process and get ADR about business progress faster or no grantee?
Unfortunately, it will not help speed up the process. However, we shall have a better and clearer picture of what has been happening to our file. Meanwhile, if your case is under background check/security scanning for a long time, suggest ordering both GCMS/ATIP for CSIS and IRCC at the same time (No need to order GCMS/ATIP with CBSA as they just quote as same content as IRCC's GCMS/ATIP). The reason I suggest because it may take more time to order GCMS/ATIP with CSIS. Hope it will help and good luck!

Normally, the "Assessments" section on page 2 of the GCMS/ATIP note will let you know where is your current stage eg. Eligibility, Security, Criminality, Medical, and Info Sharing ..... If you case is under security scanning, the "Security" will show "In progress" and you can scroll down to other pages to see the details of every member of your family. Moreover, you can go down further to the "Notes" section to see the notes/remarks from IRCC officers/Offices with all details such as dates, comments, etc... and you can compare them to your timeline or know which stage where your file is.

thanks, a lot for details, so we may be in security check even if all co-founders submitted medical checkup report or we may consider our self passes this stage already and waiting for example for ADR2 about business progress

This is not necessary but support your a bit, the main applicant ( CEO) got a work permit and visited Canada, during his visit the DO advise him to open a bank account and he did and we sent the account details as one of businesse progress.

There is no standards to show business progress to your startup
Tip:
As long as you all reside outside Canada, don’t forget to work on your LinkedIn page , it should be up to date, active and work on increasing the followers .you should provide engaging posts related your business and product (if available) …..
Good luck

Salam Nima, ERadat ziyaaaaad

I hope you're doing well and making great progress on your journey! I had a few questions that I thought you might be able to help me with, given the valuable insights of this group:

  1. Is the designated organization you're working with one of those eligible for priority processing?
  2. Have you been in touch with other startup groups to get an idea of their experience and how things are going for them?
  3. In your opinion, how long does the background check process typically take after submitting all the required documents?
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experience. Wishing you (and all of us) plenty of good news soon!

Best regards,

Dear Nima987,

I have been following this forum for over four years, diligently reading almost all posts and comments. During this time, I've observed that your case file appears to be the oldest without a decision, spanning approximately 48 months if my calculations are correct. Our group has now become the second-oldest active case after a group that submitted their application in April 2021 recently received approval.

Given this context, I'm curious about the reasons behind the significant delay in processing your file, which seems to far exceed the standard processing times. Could you shed some light on any specific factors contributing to this extended wait?

In our case, we are aware of a particular reason for the delay. One member of our team had previously been granted Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada many years ago but subsequently revoked it, resulting in a deportation order. We believe this circumstance has contributed to the prolonged processing of our application.

I would greatly appreciate any insights you could provide regarding your situation, as it may help others in similar circumstances better understand the complexities of the immigration process.

Does anyone get any response/further steps after new year holidays, almost one year after medical checkup, no update?

Security screening is the final stage in the immigration process for most applicants (with the exception of those in the Provincial Nominee Program or PNP). This stage typically takes the longest to complete and occurs after an applicant has successfully passed the eligibility assessment, criminal background check, and medical examination.

Hi there
Trust all going well
Our DO is a normal one and no priority is considered, it’s obvious by our timeline
We have been in touch with other groups in some WhatsApp channels and here in this forum.
About your third question, I have no exact idea ; as I heard it depends on the country you live in, if you have resided in several countries it obviously takes more time.it might be done by third party in some cases

hope you find it useful
