Hello,
Even we were not aware of can+ facility while applying. I came to know of this through others’ posts. I think when an agent is processing our application , if he finds that we have a valid US visa and a good travel history, he will transfer the file for faster processing.
Thanks for the response. Sorry, did they transfer yours? When’s your last update from?

Hi Everyone,

I applied for my parent's visitor visa on October 12th. They completed their biometrics on October 15th but I got a visa refusal(on dec 11) for them. I was inviting them for a month because I am pregnant (Due in end of March 2025). I am here on work permit and my husband is a Canadian citizen and my spousal permanent residence application is left with background verification. My parents showed 30,000 cad bank balance and 1.5 million dollars property evaluation signed by Indian CA. They also showed their business and tax returns from last 3 years. My mom is house wife and my dad run two business. This is the refusal message they received.

"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR .I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable)."

Can someone help in figuring what must have gone wrong? I thought inviting them into Canada on parental support during my pregnancy would be a solid reason to get the visa quickly. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Do they have any travel history to USA or Canada?

We have given the same reason for our visit to Canada. But we have a long history of visits to USA and two recent visits in 2024 to Canada. We are also having valid USA tourist visa!
What’s your next step now ? Are you reconsidering to re apply again with some changes in your application?

No. Our application was submitted only 60 days back. We are going to wait for the normal processing time to be over before taking any action.
