Work permit extension applications
Feels like applying to come to Canada.
Very annoying.
It’s better to apply now , I see people waiting for 6 months for work permit extension

A month to expiry is still okay
Coz after you apply you will get a document that says you could keep working until a decision is made even if the old one expires.
But it’s wise to apply earlier
I applied 5 months to expiry just in case

Hi, that is a good idea to apply for WP extension earlier. Mine is going to expire by the end of March of next year. Can anyone guide me? I mean, a link for instance can help me to start earlier as someone said it is tough completing the form. Thanks

I got disclosure package in July 2023, yesterday my lawyer sent me an email that the hearing is scheduled on January 2025. No more details like location, additional documents, time and so forth. Also, I have no notification from IRB.

I got disclosure package back in May 2023 but still waiting for hearing ....

Hi still no update according to my lawyer at the end of Oct, 2024 the number pending cases had scored to 270,000 cases

The only red writting on my ICAC is : Inventory task reduction. Regular 3 hours hearing. Where can i find less complex.

I called IRB a couple of times, all they adv is when a hearing is schedule I will get a mail, it’s depressing waiting for this long but then I have no control over it! Thanks though

is this for your asylum hearing? are you able to see updates online with your application? and is your application within the current processing time frame for that category of applications?
