They are really off with my profile. The Last update I got was on 20 August, and in the application tracker, it shows me on 07 August, and there is no update, not even a ghost update.

No ghost updates is weird, do you check gc key? You might've missed some ghost updates there.
Atleast you've received AIP, I'm still waiting lol.

Oh yeah I received it on September 30, like 4 days after approval. No strike back then fortunately.

Do we need to wait for work permit approval letter via mail to apply for SIN or we can use the GC Key confirmation to apply for SIN?

We were able to get a esin online using the approval letter.

You should receive a In-Canada approval letter within 24 hours that says your permit has been mailed to you and that's about it, nothing else in gc key after that.

The last update I got was on December 15: eligibility completed and pre arrival letter. There was another ghost update yesterday but nothing has changed so far on my end.

you get a letter and then you will get the permit in the mail. There are timelines if you do not get your permit in a couple of weeks you have to inform them.

Update: I can see the approval with document number. The approval date is Dec 13, same as the BVL not sure why they needed 1 week to update this. No letter, just GCKey updated

My husband just received an update about the work permit ! They ask for the medical exam. So far, it’s a good progress. I didn’t know that he need medical to have the work permit. For those who received a reply for the work permit, had you already passed the medical examination ??

Is he in one of the professions for which a medical is required? Examples include healthcare, childcare, eldercare.

Just received a message in GCKey for SOWP application, it was a correspondence letter saying that biometrics that we did in September are valid until Sept. 2034. Background is still in progress. But Final Decision is now In Progess as of today. What does it all mean and any idea as to when we can expect Final Decision to be Approved?
