The thing is, there are people who applied for visitor visa in August-September and they haven’t even received the PPR yet. Idk if I should consider myself lucky that I got the PPR within a month or feel unlucky that my stamping is taking longer than others lol.

I submitted my application August 7 and got PPR request on November 14th. I submitted passport on November 18th and IRCC Delhi recieved on the 20th. My daughter recieved passport for study permit on December 10th she is 6 years old. My husband and my son didn’t recieve still. Yesterday I checked for my husband everything is complete and for my son Background verification is in progress.

Back ground verification should say completed and then the counterfoil will be added to that GC key and then the next day passport despatch. For me it’s three applications together open work permit, study permit and visitor. In this study permit passport was despatched Monday itself. may be my husband’s passport will be despatched on Monday and I don’t know about the visitor. I am going to call IRCC on Monday and ask about it.

I came all the way to India to take them and I have to go back on the 18th because my vacation is over. I am so worried. I thought it will come by the time I return and all can travel together and I planned my travel accordingly but things are upside down. My son is turning one this Monday and I thought I can finish that and travel together but my husband and my son passport not yet despatched and it’s worrying me more. Daily I am not able to sleep thinking about this. I can’t take my little daughter alone with me and she is crying that I should not leave her and go. I don’t know what to do.

There’s hardly any manpower at IRCC New Delhi now so applications are taking a long time.

With worsening diplomatic relations and India refusing visa to Canadians recently, visitor visa issuance to Canada might take a hit I guess. But let’s hope we all get an answer next week.

It’s quite stressful when you don’t get an update by Friday coz you then have radio silence for the next two days.
