Is this normal? I see on the excel sheet that most of the applicants that have received the AOR on or around October 9 have already received a test invite. Currently I am out of Canada and thus cannot even call the IRCC.
Not all processing office work at the same speed.

You mean you haven't gotten any update after your AOR on Oct 9. If this is true you have to reach out to them cuz that is way past the processing timeline. You should have at least gotten a tracker email by now. Most applications done at the same time have also received a test invitation. Please contact the customer service or fill out a web form as soon as you can.
Type: Online application

No it is not normal period. it doesn't matter the location. You are even a single applicant. Even though applications are different for people in different provinces there is however some sort of uniformity in the processing timeline. Look for ways to contact them immediately.

I had to submit a technical request to get the tracker to work. Took a few weeks after that.

My partner still can't log in, but got the test invite.
This sounds silly, but are you certain you spelt your email address correctly on your application? You did get your AOR, correct?

damn, that's crazy. I know everyone's application gets processed differently but that is frustrating. Hopefully you hear back soon or at least after december holidays!

I noticed some people have a request for finger print while others don't. Is the finger print request required for background check? or is everyone actually getting asked for one cuz I haven't received any request for one
Fingerprints are usually required especially when your name is similar to someone else's. They may not tell you this, but fingerprints is also usually required for citizenship when you're from a "high risk" country or got PR through the refugee program

That sounds reasonable. Was confused on why it was done selectively. Thank you for enlightening me.

I believe one reason they sometimes collect is for those who have not submitted biometrics in the past or recently - which is a declining number but still relevant for some who may have become PRs years ago.
