OCI process

Hi folks,

My oci card was shipped from New Delhi in 29th Nov 2024. Based on previous posts on this forum I see a trend of 5 business days for the oci to reach Toronto. With that logic my oci should have reached Toronto on 5th Dec 24. I don't see any updates as of now. Questions:
1. Has anyone seen this type of delay? What should be my next action?
2. Has Canada post strike any impact on their time line?
3. I had heard the oci (already for Toronto) were printed in Toronto CGI. Is that true?

I have a question. I also have a different name on my voter Id than that is on my passport. The question is : Do I have to correct name before surrendering my voter ID? or should I just surrender it? If I surrender it as it is do they accept it as the spelling of my name is different?

I didnt correct the spelling. Just surrendered.

Good to see BLS & Consulate are very responsible in terms of processing OCI's in Toronto & Ottawa. Very reasonable timelines.

BLS Vancouver & Surrey are worst. Applied on September 23rd and no update yet.

I apply via mail reached bls on Oct 22. Generally you can track your application in OCI site with your application #after 10days.

Yes you can but as it's an important document people generally tend to send it with friends/relatives instead.
