in the web form its asking for email id for applicant which is not mandetory, should we provide it ?? , but sponsor is the representative so sponsor's email id was given plus the PA later linked the application to its GC key after getting the biometric request. so whose email id to give ? should we upload screenshots of the mistakes ?

Just give your email address since you are already corresponding and also authorized rep of the principal applicant.

Mistakes - hmm...instead of screen shots, put the form number, question number or label - then
in line 1 write: Incorrect: xxxxxxxxxx
in line 2 write: Correct: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm sure someone will see my response and suggest something better. it worked for me though.

Basically it probably means they've not yet allocated a COPR#, or perhaps updating info about the COPR. This allocation of the COPR# is an internal administrative step.

Applied for PR as PA in early October 2024 through outland Canadian citizen spousal sponsorship. Application has moved along - AOR, SA eligibility approved, PA eligibility approved, Medical approved, BIL approved,

BGC in process but we retire in summer 2025 and intend to relocate to a property we own in Kelowna. I am concerned how long the BGC (mainly the security checks) will take as I have worked as a teacher in six countries (UK, Cyprus, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Luxembourg and now UAE) over the last 40 years.

I received a request for additional information - a missing police clearance from Hong Kong. This requires a request from IRCC for HK police to issue one, so knew that had to be done. That has been sent to HK police so should be completed in next 2-3 weeks.

I did see that my application has switched from Sydney processing office to Mississauga CPC. Not sure why the switch but some posts say that it is one of the faster processing centres?

Anyone have experience being managed by Mississauga CPC.

I don't think there's any consistent meaning to processing office, at least in your case.

Overall I should think you've little to worry about - your timeframe is not rushed, UK coop on background checks is good, and if you've been doing the international school teaching circuit, they are aware of them and you've not been in very exotic locales anyway. More likely it will be done in advance.

And even should it get delayed somewhat beyond summer, with UK passport you can basically arrive when you like and complete the formalities later - not ideal, but not much more than an inconvenience if you're not relying on being able to work right away.

Her visitor visa expires on January 18th 2025. My question is do we have to apply for a visitor extension even though we are applying for spousal PR sponsorship.

Yes, you need to apply for a visitor extension. Submitting the spousal sponsorship application does not give her implied status. She will only have that once she applies for the OWP which she cannot do until she has AOR.

I would also be concerned about getting the marriage certificate on time, so definitely apply to extend.

Currently I am a Canadian citizen living with my wife in Brazil and applying for sponsorship for her, with the intention to live in Canada.

On the application they ask for proof that I will return to Canada, but don't provide examples of what this proof could be. What could I use for this?

Also, if we get the AOR and apply for the TRV for her, will that affect the overall process, considering I am sponsoring her from outside Canada?
