Can you please share the number you called on?Hi All, I called IRCC last week and they told me that my processing office is Vancouver as opposed to Niagara Falls as i previously thought. The agent confirmed that Niagara Falls only conducted the test.
@hssrp Can you please update the tracker.
Prohibition completed - Nov 27, 2024Fingerprint received -24th November
BG completed - 25th November
I'm in your shoes, we did FP on the 14th. It's unbelievable, that's our luck. So what I will do: I called RCMP and I got a confirmation e-mail that the fp request completed and mailed on November 19. The agent also told on the phone that the letter is waiting somewhere (possibly in the processing centre in Ottawa). If the strike won't end this week, next week we will send a webform to the IRCC and attach the RCMP e-mail. The agent also told on the phone that IRCC fully aware of the situation, but I don't trust them, that's why I will send the webform. Another info: if the letter is lost somewhere (because of canada post) you have to do the fp again, pay again, because after it's completed by rcmp, they delete your biometrics funny eh?Does anyone have any idea how they approach the Canada Post strike over at immigration? I did my FP on the 15th, the day of the strike, so no idea if they will get them on time and I'm wondering should I maybe use the web form to send them confirmation that I did it? so that they don't think I didn't comply with the 30 days I had to do that, which expires in a week.
I don't know if the webform is enough or not, but what else we can do. I think it's a must, otherwise you don't have proof that you did your fp on time.yeah I was thinking of just sending them the web form with the confirmation that I did the fp at the accredited agency as I didn't call the rcmp(so don't have any email from them). Do you think that'll be enough? I mean, to send ircc confirmation I did the fingerprints?
good to know about having to redo the fp if it doesn't reach them....
