I am in the same boat.... stuck at security check. Been asking MP to enquire IRCC every 3 months but all getting the same result, and always a very generic response "officer is actively working on it". Not sure why.... Anyone in the same boat should we all connect?

Feb 2024: Submitted Biometrics
March 2024: Submitted Medical Exam
July 2024: Office requested additional documents
Sept 2024: Submitted additional documents
Sept 17, 2024: P1 Received (an email asking you to reply to them with basic information for finalization)
Sept 24, 2024: P2 Received (the second email regarding finalization)
Sept 25, 2024: Submitted requested information regarding the P2 email.
now waiting for eCOPR... then my PR card.

For reference, this is what the P2 email looks like:

"Good news! We are ready to finalize your status as a permanent resident in Canada.

This email is to notify you that a new permanent residence confirmation case has been created under your IRCC Permanent Residence Portal account.

To complete the above you will be asked to:

• Sign in with your existing details to the PR Portal;
• Confirm that you are currently residing in Canada;
• Provide your current mailing address in Canada so that we can mail you your permanent resident card;
• Upload a photo in a digital format that will be used for your permanent resident card.

You have seven (7) days from the date of this email to confirm you’re in Canada, provide your mailing address in Canada and submit your PR card photo

Once you submit your information, it will be reviewed by IRCC.

• An IRCC case worker will send you a message if further information is required; the message will come from an email address ending in @cic.gc.ca. To avoid missing our emails, check your junk or spam folder.
• When your information is approved by IRCC, your PR card will be printed and mailed to you."

I am stucked on security, and nobody nor IRCC, nor CBSA (if I right understand tht the "stumbling block" from the ATIP report), nor MP can tell me when the answer will come. My and my family OWP will expire 31 Dec of his year. I saw, that sombody here applied for extention this summer but they receved extention of work permit until 31 Dec 2024. I am frustrated and confused. My famly and I must to start of extention but I am not sure shold to do it. Also, in july my daughter tried to get the travel visa that shoild be for 10 years but IRCC gave her visa until 31 December 2024. If you have the similar situation, advice me, please, what you do with it?

I had a similar situation as yours,

You need apply the work permit extension right now, and with the extension program, to apply the study permit for your daughter.

You will get a response in the work permit extension application that saying you can work until the work permit application final decided. It would take several months to have the new work permit.

And for your daughter, she can apply the TRV by the study permit in the future.

I did all the process above, but I got portal last week. I wish you have the same lucky.
